This is a YouTube video titled "Assumptions and Miscommunications" containing a monologue or talk recorded on November 16, 2021, discussing challenges in contractor relationships, emphasizing the importance of communication, feedback, and team dynamics in construction or rehab projects.
One of the biggest strains on my relationship with my contractor in the beginning was assumptions and miscommunication. So when we're on small level rehabs, guys, those miscommunications aren't costly like it is on a hundred thousand dollar firehouse rebuild, right? Build your systems, start small, look and read in between the lines. Because how you do anything is how you do everything that applies to your team members. So you want to be micro analyzing their steps. You want to test them and see if they're willing to take feedback. It's a relationship. It cannot just be a one way street where they take and you give. It's got to go two ways. And if not, that's a clear indicator, possibly somebody you want to part ways with or maybe not develop to a full extent at this moment to that heavier level of rehab and burn. And this is just to simply recap. Young did a great presentation. I was able to catch a glance of the recording. You learned Young and it's tuition. It's tuition. It's unavoidable in a sense where you're gonna come across people that just don't fit your team. And it may not be purely because they're bad people. It could just be because you guys are two different types of personalities. It could be that simple.
