What's your vision?

A founder talks through years of failed businesses, a work injury, and pivoting to support their partner's real estate career. They reflect on what matters when entrepreneurship doesn't go as planned.
And I had two choices. Do I push through on something that I don't really desire, or do I cut it off and focus in on the things that I do? Why I share that is in my original. One of my original visions, which I believe Jaz has it on record somewhere, was to own franchises and businesses of all shapes and form to support Jazz's real estate ventures. And you guys may not know this, I went through nine failed businesses before I said, enough. Jazz has got something running. It's producing. I'm exhausted and tired of these temporary defeats. Maybe I should just jump on board with her and redirect my desire and passion to build with my life partner and to follow a common goal. Everything changed during that time. See, the funny thing is, is during that season where I failed miserably in all those businesses that I pursued and wholeheartedly committed with all my desire, all my might, all my willpower to real estate. I got hurt at work. Like, literally the very next month, I got hurt and I went on a work comp. I don't know, some of you guys might be thinking like, wow, that's crazy. But for me, it was defeating because I thought that was the end of something that I was committed to instantly. Like, I wanted to be wholeheartedly in real estate. And why, why did life throw me this, this defeat, this failure, my credibility, my mortgage ability, all goes out the window. For those of you who ever been on work comp, if you, if you haven't, you, you lose a lot of your benefits, you lose a lot of your income, and you're tied and limited to your injury. And this affected us greatly. However, the vision and that desire to succeed superseded by temporary defe.
