Does Your Resume Tell The Story? | Michelle Perchuk

Michelle Perchuk explains how to write a resume that shows value and ROI to employers, not just list what you did. She walks through how to stand out when everyone else is listing the same job titles and duties.
Hi, job seekers. I hope you're having a good day today. Today I'm going to talk about your resume. And does your resume tell the story of what you did, or does it actually show the new employer what you can do for them? The traditional resume and the way that we were taught to put together our resume is a summary, a chronological order of all of your experience and your education. But the responsibility of figuring out what you know how to do falls on the person who's reading the resume. So here's my suggestion. Let's tell your future employer. What was the actual roi, the return on investment that you brought to the company. What is it that you did that was fantastic? What differentiated from all of the other employees? Many of you are thinking, well, that's the COVID letter. The COVID letter actually should be used to tell your story and the journey that you endured as a professional and what made you you. But the resume should show your employer what you can do for them today and in the future and not what you did for your past employers. I am Coach Michelle from MTV Coaching, and I work with hundreds of clients to help them bring out their personalities and their value in their resume, to differentiate themselves from the millions of resumes that are floating online today. Once again, I am Coach Michelle from MTV Coaching, and I look forward to working with you and bringing out the real you in your resume.
