Here what a Pharmacovigilance expert has to say about Michelle

A pharmacovigilance expert describes how Coach Michelle helped her rebuild after job loss, improving her LinkedIn profile and resume while regaining confidence to navigate the job market.
So I was actually recommended by Coach Michelle, by my son who works with her at an. He's a financial advisor and actually works with her. And when I lost my job back in September of last year, he said, mom, I think it's someone you should really talk to. And you know, she may help you along in the journey because, you know, being a little bit older and having not been unemployed many times in my life, it was startling. So he said, I think she'll be a great fit and help you along the journey. So I had my first interview with her and signed on. I think I've only interviewed in my life maybe three or four times. I haven't hopped around in many positions. So I think things have changed, right? Especially after Covid and even the way you interview nowadays, most of my interviews were completely remote. I got hired in this most recent job remotely. So it's not like you're face to face, it's just a different perspective, you know, how you communicate is so much different than 15 years ago. First of all, she allowed me to do an introspective view of what am I worth or what do I have to offer? Because I think we take for granted a lot of the years of experience we have. And if you've been in the, you know, whatever industry or whatever work you do, sometimes you take what you do for granted. So I think by having to write those three chapters that she so helps you write along the way for your interview process, I think it helped me do that. Like, what am I worth to someone? What do I have to offer then mostly, you know, that whole LinkedIn profile, I think the moment that. And I procrastinated, I have to be honest, I procrastinated quite a lot in fixing it, putting in a new picture. And then I'm very critical now when I go into LinkedIn and I see people with glasses or in their vacation outfit. But I definitely think that that was like a changing point. Having a clear, concise LinkedIn page with your. A professional picture that's. Or even a banner that states something that stands out in LinkedIn so that whether it's recruiters or even people that know, you see that, you know that it's important and even not putting in that open to work. Open to work, which I, I see that all the time and I almost feel like writing to them, you know, friends that I know and say take that off because, you know, it does, it puts that fear. And I think, especially when, since I was out of work at the time when I started to Look, I hadn't done that exercise before, and she showed me, regardless of whether you're working or not, you have to keep that relationship going, that networking. And that's the other thing, how to network, how to reach out to people, even if you don't know them, and not be afraid to, you know, connect with someone and say, hey, I would love to catch up, know a little bit more about your position or a little bit more about what you do, and, you know, what I can do for you. Right. And she helped me with that self confidence in my. How. How I see myself, how I portray myself, that self confidence that I had lost by losing a job that I so much valued. Right. And being, you know, older in the spectrum of my work career and having lost a job, which I had never lost before. So she definitely gave me that. That sense of, you know, you're worth every penny, you're worth more. You have so much to offer because of the years of experience. And, you know, finally I ended up, you know, the world's collided or aligned, as I would say, because it came through many different sources. And all of a sudden I was interviewing for two positions at the same time, kind of racing, like, who. Who's gonna offer something first? Yes. It was. Let them fight over you. A great experience once. Once you saw that people were actually interested, you know, And I basically, I interviewed in one week, I spoke to the hiring manager simply in a conversation, not even face to face. It was just a phone call. She couldn't talk. She was like on the run. And she scheduled all my meetings for the next week. And within one, exactly seven days, I was hired. I think. I think you definitely need to do that exercise. And a lot of us probably in. The longer you are in the industry, the less you care about that whole LinkedIn page. I'm not saying many people are very active in it, and. And I've learned that those that are growing, you know, as you look at their profiles and stuff, those people that were very active, right. And. And sharing their ideas and their beliefs with other professionals, they get to know who you are. Yeah. And you have to invest in yourself. Right. And. And that was the one thing I learned, even though I was out of a job and didn't know when I would get my next one, I invested in myself, I went to courses, redefined myself a little bit about what my scope of work that I wanted to do, and then invested with Michelle to really get that, those next steps, refining my resume, which was old school. So she helped me revise it and make sure that it would pass all the tests when going through the system. Absolutely. And it's good that I got introduced to her really early on. I think I was just. I was unemployed maybe for two weeks when my son referred her, and I jumped on a call. And so within the month, I was working with her, and she didn't rush me, and she was very honest. You know, it's the end of the year. Things don't always happen, and you have to build. If you really want that dream job and you don't want to just take whatever comes your way, you really have to put in the time, you know, and exercise. And I knew that from industry, that end of the year is a terrible time. There's no budget and, you know, hopefully. And she was very honest. She says, I guarantee you by, you know, March or so, you'll be getting. And that it was exactly that. She helps you see your vision much clearer than what you could have seen it on your own, I think. So thank Michelle for everything she did. She was always there. And let me tell you, if you're a procrastinator sometimes and you're feeling down, she is the person to keep you on track, and she will do that. Firm, but always keeping you on track of what you should be doing.
