Here what a Sr. Marketing Manager has to say about Michelle

A senior marketing manager credits Michelle Perchuk's career coaching with landing their dream job after a long search. Michelle revamped their resume, prepped them for interviews, and helped several of their friends find jobs too.
So, long story short, somehow I came across her and I did an introductory call with her. And by this time I've already talked to kind of several coaches like this and I felt like they all had a very similar offer. And, you know, none of them was of course, like willing to make any guarantees of success. Right. So it kind of seemed like they're all about the same. If I pick whichever, I have no idea if it's going to work out or not. But if it doesn't, maybe I've spent a lot of money for nothing. So that was really something that was a little concerning to me. I don't like to sign up for what I don't know. However, the one thing that was so different with Michelle, and this was ultimately what really helped me make the decision and go with her, was she was the only one who felt so sure of the services and the value of the services she was providing. So she kind of offered to refund unused portion of the fee if I felt that she was not being helpful. So because the fee was not cheap. Right. I knew that if I take a chance with her, I'm not going to. I had nothing to lose. Right. I would get my money back if it was a horrible mistake. And the other thing that I really liked about her as well, which was also different than the other ones, is that she has a very straightforward kind of straight shooter approach. I knew that she would not coddle me, but just really give me some good actionable advice and I was ready for it. And she also told me to suspend disbelief and do what she tells me. And that certainly required a lot of faith. But I'm glad I did it. I have, by the time I met her, I've been searching by myself for, oh, about 11 or 12 months with no tangible results while working 16 hours a day. So to say that I was exhausted and frustrated was definitely an understatement. Now, previously, just to give some context. Context that the job that I had, it actually took me about four months to find. So I had already. I knew I have a great resume and so I thought it would be the same this time around. But it looks like the market has completely changed. Yeah, which it often does. Yes, it often does. The other thing is that the company who I worked for hired me as remote and now was forcing me to relocate. And so I've already kind of looked for 11 months and I had limited amount of time left. And so I needed something. It was either I find something quickly or I'm going to have to resign and be unemployed. And so I've also worked with the alumni coaching of my university, which is one of the top 10 schools in the United States. They thought I had great resume, so I'd done everything I knew to do and looked for other things, and I've done other things. However, that still hasn't really yielded the results I wanted to. So I knew at this point I'm going to have to change my approach or I may not be able to find anything so quickly and certainly not something good. Well, the ironic part is that the. She ended up decided that I need to completely revamp the resume, right? And so that was kind of really interesting because once she did that and once. So as an example, a bunch of companies I really wanted to work for, I sent them my old resume, did not even get interview. Now with the revamped resume, suddenly they're all inviting me for an interview. So, I mean, even just that was like, so such a game changer. I mean, she just did such a wonderful job really tailoring her coaching to what I needed. Apparently I needed a lot. So she revamped that. She kind of found like a hook for how I can present myself both on the resume as well as in real life in interviews, and really just helped me land that dream role that I didn't even think existed in corporate America. I had already kind of given up on that. So for sure, I would say the number one was the suspend disbelief and follow her advice, even if it sounds counterintuitive. I learned that there's always a way to get what you want if you know what to do. And she definitely knows what to do. Like I said, I didn't think my dream job existed, and I would have settled for like a half a dream job at that point too. But I'm really glad I didn't have to. And even the little things that I thought just wouldn't be there, I found. So that was amazing. So, number one, suspend disbelief, Right. I think the second thing that resist versus really shines is in the sea of job seekers, you really need to differentiate yourself in a meaningful way to really show that you're that perfect candidate for the role. And so Michelle helped me find kind of a marketing hook, how to position myself, how to stand up or stand out from all the other marketers out there. This translated into a completely revamped resume. The way I talk about myself, how I interview, how I network. And as I mentioned, with the new resume, right. The companies that has straight up rejected me before suddenly started interviewing me and Calling me back. The hiring manager started complimenting me in the interview about how well I answered the these questions and so differently than everybody else they talk to and how I bring more to the table than the traditional marketer. So this was music to my ears and never thought I could actually hear. It was wonderful. So I think the thing is, one size does not fit all right. And. And again, Michelle gave me all the right advice in all the places that I need help with. More than three of my friends have already signed with Michelle, and all of them have found their job so quickly and almost like each in a different area and just a completely different industry as well. And so that was really cool to see how they were so happy. I was like getting thank you text. Oh, that's amazing. Recommending her. Yes. And so I would absolutely not hesitate. Again, it seems like no matter what industry, what role you are in, she really knows how to help you differentiate yourself. And again, finding the job so quickly, I would have never believed it if it didn't happen. And she did say, well, there's. I can't guarantee you, but typically, if you follow my advice, it will happen quickly. And I was like, okay, well, let's see about that. But certainly I was very happy about it. Yeah. I think honestly, the only thing I would have changed if I could go back in past, if I had known what I know now, and if I had known Michelle at the beginning of my job search, I would have absolutely hired her immediately. Could have saved myself a year of stress and anxiety. I would say, if you're on the fence, absolutely. Meet up with her, because having talked to her will really give you a good perspective of what she can help with. She will also tell you honestly, if she doesn't think she can help you. Right. So you can talk to her, kind of gauge her, ask her questions. Right. Because that is free. And I feel like that could be the one thing that might help you decide either way. Right. For me, that was something. She said several things that really resonated with me and kind of helped me realize that, yes, I really do need to change my approach. But again, that's the only way for you to know if you're a good fit. Right. Because not everybody is a good fit for everybody. I would absolutely encourage to set up that initial session and see and decide for yourself. But based on me and several of my friends, I can highly recommend her. It.
