Investment vs Doing It on your own

Michelle Perchuk, a certified career coach, argues that her $9,000-$12,000 coaching program pays for itself by compressing job search timelines and repositioning executives as solutions to high-stakes problems. Every month out of a role costs income and momentum; a coach activates networks and prevents costly missteps that a solo search invites.

Hi, I'm Coach Michelle Perchuk, and I'm an award-winning certified career coach having guided thousands of people in their careers in this complicated job market. Listen carefully because this is the moment where most executives either collapse their timeline or extend their pain by 6 to 12 months. You're not deciding whether to spend $9,000 or $12,000 on my program. You're deciding how long you're willing to stay out of alignment with your next role. Let's ground this in reality. First, speed. At your level, time is not neutral. Every month you are not in the right seat, you're not just losing income, you're losing relevance, visibility, and momentum in the market. The right strategy doesn't just help, It compresses time. What I do is remove the friction, the guesswork, and the dead ends so that you could move with precision. If we shorten your search by even a fraction, 1 or 2 months, the return is not theoretical. It is immediate and can be measured. Second, positioning. You're not looking for a job. You're being evaluated as a solution to a high-stakes problem in a business. Here's the truth. Most executives are mispositioned without even realizing it. They present history instead of impact. They communicate responsibility instead of transformation. My role is to reposition you so that when you enter a conversation, you're not one of many. You are the obvious choice. You are the subject matter expert. That shift alone changes everything. Third, access. Let's be honest, roles at your level are not filled through applications. They are filled through trust, proximity, and timing. The question is not, are you qualified? The question is, are you in the right rooms with the right people having the right conversations at the right time? I don't just tell you to network. I show you how to activate the network you already have and expand it with intention so that opportunities begin to find you. Fourth, risk. Doing this alone is not free. It is expensive in ways people don't know how to calculate. One misstep—targeting the wrong role, underselling your value, accepting an offer that is misaligned— can cost you far more than the $9,000 or $12,000 investment with me. Not just financially, but in trajectory. You don't need more effort. You need calibrated strategy. That's what protects you from costly mistakes. 5. Momentum. Even the most capable executives lose momentum in transition, not because they lack discipline, but because they lack structure and external perspective. When you are inside the process, it's hard to see clearly. My job is to keep you moving, to give you feedback in real time, and to ensure that every action you take compounds rather than stalls. Momentum is not a nice-to-have. It is the difference between a prolonged search and a decisive transition. So here is a decision in front of you. You can do this alone and carry all the stress, uncertainty, all the trial and error, and all the time risk that comes with it. Or you can decide that your next move is too important to navigate without precision, support, and speed. This is not about whether you're capable of doing it yourself. I'm sure that you are. The question is, at what cost and over what period of time? If you're ready to move with intention, to be positioned at the level you belong, and to shorten the distance between where you are now and where you're going, then this is the moment to act because the market will not wait for you.
