Michelle Perchuk, founder of MTV Coaching, argues that pausing during uncertain times improves your work's impact. When people feel anxious, they over-perform and skip self-care. Taking intentional breaks, like re-recording a lesson instead of rushing it out, actually makes the output better.
Hi job seekers. Today I'm going to talk to you about something very unique that you could start applying in your job search. Right away. I'm going to talk to you about the power of the pause. During times of uncertainty, sometimes we think that we must perform, we must perform even better than we did before. This is where all of our hidden talents come out and this is where we show our best. Where in fact, we don't take the time for self care. We just keep going and going and going. And if you're rushing, you're missing a lot of things. For example, this particular lesson was planned to record on Monday and I learned from my own coaching that I must embrace the power of the pause. I wasn't feeling the energy when I was recording that session and I felt that the content that I would share with you job seekers would be mediocre and it wouldn't be fair. So I decided to pause. I decided to re record that particular lesson a few days later when I added more content and I gave you more information. So therefore, you can create more impact in your lives by getting this lesson from me now. So once again, job seekers, give yourself a break. Learn the power of the pause. Sometimes it's better to just leave whatever you are doing and come back to it later and come back to accomplish your plan, your goal in a much better way. I am Coach Michelle and I am founder of MTV Coaching. I'm looking forward to designing and painting your plan with you.
