Michelle Perchuk, a career coach, helped someone land a new job after losing theirs during Covid. She systematized their job search, rewrote their resume, and coached them through interviews until they got hired in winter 2021-2022.
Foreign helped me land my current position during the winter of 2021 and 22, when I finally found myself unemployed after being cut due to Covid back in November. She helped me reach my goal by systematizing the job search in terms of getting beyond the conventional attitudes that are thrown around regarding resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profile, and really taught me how to take an unconventional approach where really I treated the job search as a marketing campaign in terms of how to really communicate succinctly the value I can deliver employers. Working with Michelle, I was able to achieve clearance first of all, with my goals. Working with Michelle, I felt that I have someone that is guiding me through the process step by step, actually setting me after every meeting with her very reachable tasks and goals that I can achieve and perform. Michelle really showed me how things look from the other side and she gave me a lot of confidence. Pretty much, it seems like almost everything I had to change up some of the know. Obviously having you kind of guide me, keep me sane and, and help me kind of focus on the right things was super helpful. Another thing that was really big was rethinking my resume again. Like I. My resume and everybody told me, your resume is great, you have lots of great experience, and you've completely blew that up. I was a very kind of like, I would have never done what you have done. But you were like, hang in there, do what I'm telling you. I need you to suspect disbelief. We're gonna do this. And I was like, listen, I'm gonna do whatever my way. Didn't help. So I just went with it and really kind of helping me talk about, you know, just the whole networking and, and mindset. Right. Like those were the key things. So I was kind of rusty when it came out to interviews. So Michelle pretty much helped me out with that. And I think especially she helped me out with my confidence level. I think that hiring Michelle was actually a good investment. She definitely has a lot of great knowledge, has worked work with a lot of people. And I think that putting all her experience and bringing that experience to the table definitely helped me out to the best because it didn't end up helping me find a new role. During my engagement with Michelle, I landed the perfect role. And her coaching me through the final interview with the CEO, I'm convinced that's what secured it.
