My name is Josh Melendez. I'm a senior accounting analyst with the empro Insurance company on Long Island, New York. Michelle Perchuk helped me land my current position during the winter of 2021 and 2022, when I finally found myself unemployed after being cut due to Covid back in November. She helped me reach my goal by systematizing the job search in terms of getting beyond the conventional attitudes that are thrown around regarding resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profile, and really taught me how to take an unconventional approach where really I treated the job search as a marketing campaign in terms of how to really communicate succinctly the value I can deliver employers. So I would say that her biggest value is the importance of being direct and how to communicate my value as directly as possible and as succinctly as possible to employers. And I do it in a savvy way. Oftentimes employers are accustomed to hearing the most common canned responses and Michelle helped steer me toward, you know, just a very real and politically incorrect way of expressing the value that I can bring in place lawyers. She helped reduce my stress during the job search by really coordinating a specific plan and setting goals on a day by day basis as to what tasks I need to execute to generate the interviews that I needed. And that was just very helpful because it got to a point where I had too many interviews to field in a short period of time, too many phone calls to field.
