A short YouTube testimonial from Foreign Rosenberg describing his transition from being CEO of a cybersecurity startup toward board roles and semi-retirement. He credits coach Michelle for asking probing questions, offering concrete suggestions (for example, joining the Forbes Technology Council), and providing direct, personalized guidance that helped him explore new directions.
Foreign Rosenberg. And I was CEO of my ninth startup, tech startup in the cybersecurity space. And I decided that things have been really hard. I was going to step back a little bit, be chairman of the board and not work five days a week. So I thought, well, you know, I'm only going to retire and only going to be two more years. Maybe I should get on the boards of a few companies. Compensated board seats might be nice. And that wasn't actually getting me anywhere. And then Michelle shows up. The most important thing is, is that Michelle asked her probing questions and she pretty quickly started to list off some things that I should do to begin to get a better feel for what might be right. So she, she said, why don't you join the Forbes Technology Council? I did that. And it was, that was a great, a great decision. Well, I really have enjoyed working with Michelle. I, I said she's the most likable New Yorker ever. But she's, she hasn't lost the New Yorker part of it, which is that she's, she's blunt, she's very direct and doesn't sort of hold back and, and she doesn't like, have a cookie cutter set of things that she prescribes to people. She's really trying to find out about the person and then work with them to explore different directions.
