We're capable. We're limitless. You are so much more than your limited ego mind wants to tell you that you are. It's about going within and going, okay. How do I become the version of me that lives, loves, is marinating in, is fully experiencing that life that fall, if you will.
Welcome back. My name is Bunny Young, serial entrepreneur, retired stuntwoman, mother of three beautiful children, and a builder of a that I don't need to escape from. Here on the yes and Podcast this season, we're diving even deeper with the most incredible difference makers and entrepreneurs who are breaking barriers, building empires, and designing lives and companies their way. While we all get stuck in our heads sometimes questioning if we're good enough or if we're doing this whole life thing right, today's guest is here to shake things up just a little bit and show us how capable and worthy we really are. I am super stoked to welcome Tracy Litt to to the podcast today. She's the founder of the School of Becoming, where she blends science, spirituality, and a whole lot of real talk to guide people toward transformation that actually sticks. She is also an international best selling author of the book Worthy Human, a mom of three, and the kind of person who challenges everything you think you know about growth and makes you believe that real sustainable change is within reach. If you have been feeling like it's time for a shift, this is going to be one of those conversations that leaves you feeling empowered and ready to take on the world. I also have to tell you guys that I met Tracy while she was on stage. I was heavily distracted walking around with my, I think he was like six months old at the time, trying to get him to take a nap. And I decided to leave the conference room while I was watching Tracy and listening to Tracy speak on stage to these hundreds of women. And I actually took him out into the hallway and made him run back and forth in the hallway because I didn't want to miss what Tracy was talking about. So that's the kind of guest that I've brought to you today. So, Tracy, welcome to the yes and Podcast. Hi.
I'm so excited to be here and I love the name of this podcast.
Tell me, Tell me more, Tell me more.
Because in my experience of yes, and that's an improv based thing. It's a willingness thing. Right. So it's. And it's part and parcel to what we're gonna. What we're talking about. We're capable. We're limitless. You are so much more than your limited Ego mind wants to tell you that you are. And part of that is trust and your ability to say yes. Yes. And watch the magic unfold. Yes. And open a new portal. Yes. And meet a new friend. Yes. And have an up level. Yes. And it's just so like, yes. And here we are.
I love that you open the podcast with that because, you know, and I warned you that the end of this podcast, I'm gonna ask you what your idea of a yes and life is. And so I love that that's how you opened it as far as like your relationship with those words and the possibility. And I want to dive absolutely right into that thought process around what you've built and what you're bringing to the world. And you, and I know that you are just beginning to do this. My first very hopefully, like, softball of a question, but we're gonna go deep right away. Is the school of becoming, which is what you created. Becoming. That's such an interesting concept. When you talked about.
Yes.
And it's like when I think about becoming, I have my own perception, I have my own definitions, I have my own relationship with that word. And so why becoming versus success or versus limitless? Some of those other words that we talked about.
Because to experience and receive and achieve all of those other things, the answer lives in your ability to enjoy and decide to step on the becoming process.
We're done. Episode's over. That's all. That's all we needed. Two sentences.
Uhhuh.
That's it?
Yeah, that's. That's the reality of it. We've been trained and brought up and live in a society that wants to tell you it's the external that then impacts and influences the internal and everything we know. And not just like Tracy's fun ideas on life, but like everything that neuroscience has proved, everything that you know, every study of manifestation, imagination, creation, consciousness, power, everything now tells us unquestionably, which I really appreciate, which is why I'm a science and spirituality teacher, because I like the data. I like to be able to say, yeah, your mind does not know the difference between you imagining something and you actually doing it. And here's the research, right? So to really. For you to be able to realize that. That it's not the outside that creates the inside. Now that we have all of this research and all of this proof, it's the inside creates the outside. So when we're ready for that success, when we're ready for that new result, when we want to experience that goal, it's not about pushing Matter against matter on the outside and hustling and forcing it. It's about going within and going, okay, how do I become? And we can break that down. How do I become? The version of me that lives, loves, is marinating in, is fully experiencing that life. That all, if you will. And then your priority becomes embodying that version of you. And in doing that, your thoughts, your beliefs, your habits, your behaviors, the words you speak, the energy you emit changes, because that's what becoming and evolving your identity is. And then the fun part is that you can't not arrive in that which. That for which you started your becoming journey. It's like success, you know, Like I.
There's two thoughts that came up around this and one is around drugs and.
One is around, okay, I'm here for that.
Yeah. Yes. And one, one is around the, the. The humanness that came up when I thought about becoming, because as someone who, who has spent like the last five years really working with the masculine and the feminine in my business, and you know this about me, that I, I drove so much of my business from a very masculine place until a few years ago. And it worked.
It worked.
Trace. Like that was, you know, by society's definition, I was successful. And so when initially you had shared with me becoming, the first thing I thought of was, if I'm always becoming, then I'm never enough.
Yes. And let me take you there.
Right?
Yes. So here's. Okay, this is, this is like a very rich moment. And when you step into the school and you allow me to love you and teach you and pour into you.
Well, that's already happened.
Thank you. You start to understand consciousness, and you start to understand that where you come from is what you always create. And when it comes to a becoming journey, if you come from victim consciousness, and I'm going to break it down, then the unhealed parts of you or the unworthy identity will drive you to think, ugh, I have to become because I'm not enough. I have to become because I have a problem to fix. Ugh, I have to become because I'm inherently broken or something's inadequate. Ugh, I have to be cum because I'm working from a deficit. And that is absolutely a lie. It makes total sense that many of us would perceive that initially because we all have to. This is. Okay, I'm just gonna break stuff down because this is so like, ah, say it. We all have to come through the unworthy river. It's a, it's a biological requirement because when we are born. We are, number one, all subconscious mind until we're seven or eight years old. And the beautiful ego that is built for protection interprets everything in an effort to keep us safe. So because we biologically have this ego and we don't, we don't have conscious mind, we can't discern and be like, oh, the fact that my father left means something about him, not about me, right? Or the fact that my siblings will never share with me. It's just because they have limiting thoughts to sharing. It's not about me. It's inevitable. Every single person. There isn't a person that doesn't go through the unworthy river. And I want you to receive this because you're going to go, fuck. Amazing. There's nothing wrong with me. Correct. There's nothing wrong with you. This is part of the journey of spiritual, energetic beings having a human experience. And whatever happens, those moments, the traumas, the big ones, the small ones, the abandonments, the time you didn't make the soccer team, the time you didn't get invited to the birthday party, you know, when your parents fought about all those things, the ego at that level of mind, at that stage of development can only internalize into. And it must mean something about me. No one escapes this. So it's like, oh my God, what freedom is that for you to go, wait a second, so it's not because it's true that I'm not enough? It's not. No, babe. It's literally like, what's your unworthy flavor? Because mine was, I'm not smart enough. And we all have one because of the way our brain, body and nervous system functions at those early pivotal points of our lives where our identity is starting to get imprinted. So then how do we see becoming as the gift that it is in the way that we teach it in high consciousness in the school, because of what I just explained and how we kind of become who we are in that unworthy identity, we first of all realize what I'm saying. We go, oh, my God. Okay, wow, hold on a second. There's nothing wrong with me. There's never been anything wrong with me. The truth is, is that you're inherently whole. You are divine. You are created from this thing bigger than you. Call it whatever you want, call it God, call it greater intelligence, call it source, call it universe, love it all day. And you are derived from the same oneness as the sun and the moon and the stars and the atoms and everything around us. You are a miracle. You are inherently worthy lovable and whole birthright, period. You have to do nothing to earn it and nothing can ever happen to detract from it. It is non influenceable for lack of inventing a word. Right? So when you come into the school and you look at this stunning becoming journey, you do it because it's actually your moral responsibility and contribution to this world. Because you didn't choose your beliefs, because you have trauma that's stuck in your body, because you have an emotionally congested system, because it's skewing the way you see the world, because you're so fucking worthy and enough. It's outrageous. And we cannot allow the unworthy identity to drive the ship anymore because it's conflating your worth with everything you're trying to produce in the world. So then you orient to your journey through wholeness consciousness, which says, I'm already whole and I understand that it is my responsibility to heal and release and open and transcend and let go of some of these things that are creating limitation and resistance and constriction in me so that I can see with new eyes and hear with new ears and contribute to more loving, progressive worlds. And that's why we prioritize the inner world and that's why we become. And that's the call of any of us, especially that are here. And if you are here hanging out with the sn, you have big dreams, you are amazing, you've been tapped, the call has happened. You are well aware and focusing on and prioritizing your inner becoming journey in tandem with all of the great external strategies and creatives and the marketing and the this and the that. That's my, that's my highest desire. Like, come on. Entrepreneurship is really the personal growth journey you didn't sign up for. But it's here and we gotta start. Yeah, yeah.
And what's coming up for me around that first off, that's just so freaking beautiful. And I like, I want you guys to consider going back, rewinding this and listening to that again and just allowing that to really seep into your subconscious and begin to rewire and refire and program. Because I can tell you from doing this work, and this is why Tracy and I manifested each other into our lives, is because like I business taught me that, entrepreneurship taught me that. And it's, I, I didn't get the lessons in my master's program studying psychology. I didn't get the lessons studying, you know, neuroscience and brains around addiction and trauma. I got it from the past several years in my business going from, I am never going to be done to I am never going to be done. And both of those statements being true. And yet the energy, the consciousness, the awareness that's infused in those two statements, one of hopelessness and one of just, I mean my skin is, is vibrating with hope as I say that I get to never be done.
Exactly.
That's the medicine. That really is the medicine. And you know, I, I said I wanted to talk about drugs. The other like drugs came up when you were saying that, because psychotropic medication and a lot of pharmaceuticals that I studied. When I was being a therapist, I sat with this idea of what's the difference between drugs and medicine? In growing up and in school we were taught, you know, drugs are these things over here. Medicine comes from a doctor. And I've actually reworked that to see so many other things as medicine and especially in entrepreneurship and marriage and in parenthood, all of these, all of these prescriptions that have unintended side effects. So my definition now is that drugs are to avoid pain, medicine is to heal. And so as you are talking about this connectedness, I fet. I spent so much of my life following some pretty traumatic events in my life that some of our listeners, you know, can go back to season one and, and learn more about that. But I spent so much of my life in these post trauma events using drugs by that definition, drugs that were prescribed by a doctor to avoid the pain. And yet with what you're saying and this path of becoming that we're all on, those traumatic events definitely happened for me and they're now medicine along that journey in order for me to be here, to share, to connect. And that's just, that's beautiful. And I think that, that there's so many people that are listening to this that struggle with how to start healing. They struggle with self doubt, they struggle with limiting beliefs. And so I want to, I want to turn it over to you to kind of share a little bit about your perspective and where they can start and, and how do you rewire that so good.
Okay, so first I want to acknowledge and witness you and everything you just shared so beautifully. And you speak to something that is vital, which is an avoidance of pain. And I want to invite everyone to understand that pain is beautiful, Pain is inevitable, Suffering is optional. That's the part that's within your power. Pain is contrast. Pain is growth. Pain is discomfort. Pain is grief. Pain is human, pain is emotional. Pain is beautiful. And the only, not the only thing, but the main thing that prohibits us from being available to Being the vessel to allow for that pain and to experience that pain is the judgment that pain is bad and disempowering and the fact that we've trained our nervous systems to perceive and believe that. So in an effort for our system to keep us safe, it wants to allow you to keep avoiding the pain. Right. And from a, like, there's wiring that is completely universal to every single human being because it's human based wiring. And then there's wiring that's specific to the individual based on who raised you, the house you grew up in, the traumas you experienced, things like that. And one of the universal wiring elements of our humanness is to avoid pain, seek pleasure, and give the least amount of energy for the biggest gain. Right. So it's important then that we recognize like, okay, wait a minute. So also if I have a system that's trying to avoid pain, I get to like you just shared that shift in the come from on what the same, same words. Right. I get to be back in my body and feel. I get to. Makes me beautifully emotional right now because it's like, it makes me think of my mom and I lost her when I was 24. And that pain of that grief, it's also aliveness.
Right.
When we allow ourselves to feel the pain, we're reminded that we're alive. We, we need the contrast. Right. It's important to have the contrast. And the way that I'm speaking right now, I want to just invite you to realize, okay, wait a second. This is what it sounds like and feels like to commit to becoming a conscious person. Yeah. Right. So that you can start to feel through that pain and you can instead of buffering against it. Right. Whether it's like, like you were saying, a prescription, a well intended loving provider gave you something that would help. And oftentimes, no absolutes. I'm not a doctor, but oftentimes those types of solutions disconnect you further from your human experience and shut off the parts of your brain that we need to actually play with and take you out of your body when the answer is and it's painful, and I'm loving the pain for all of us we have to go in and go through so that we can come out and open up and then experience that like exhale, openness, lightness, freedom. And then you know what else happens because of this? You start to trust yourself.
Yeah.
You start to be like, I, I, I, I'm, I'm built. We're built to emote. We're built to experience the pain yeah. And I promise you, you will not die from the pain. Your mind will try to convince you you will.
Yes.
But you won't. Yeah.
Thank you for sharing that. And you know, as a retired therapist, I spent a lot of time with my clients, with my patients, with them. The. The only thing that was hurting them in our sessions was the resistance. Resisting what is resisting the becoming, resisting the transformation. And me too. Me too. Like, I'm going to raise my hand too, because over the last decade, as things are shifting and changing, I found that the most painful parts of my life was resisting reality. And even in the. The traumatic events was almost like I was trying to. Like my car accident in 2019 was like I was going to occupational therapy and speech therapy to go back to being as good as I was prior to the accident, going back to doing work the way that I did. And my resistance to my current reality with a brain injury was the most painful part. Not. Not the physical injuries, not the anxiousness of having post traumatic stress driving, but the actual resistance. And even you could argue my post traumatic stress was because when I was driving, I wasn't in that moment.
Right? Yes.
And so for me, when you talk about this, and I know we're going back to the drugs and medicine, but you've spent enough time with me to know that that's a common conversation that I'm going to have. Psychedelics and plant medicine helped dissolve my wiring, my human wiring to saying like, I. There was no amount of thinking or talking that my body would relax into safety. I couldn't get my brain to agree in that moment that I could be present and safe. I was constantly living in the future or in the past. Yes.
Yes.
And so my becoming journey was very interesting around that and what I. What I love and I want to hear your perspective on this, but what I loved about partnering with psilocybin in particular is that it. I say the word lubricate and people get uncomfortable. But it like, lubricated my neural transmitters and receptors in that moment, and then it's gone. But I'm left with a brain that is allowing me to be present and to make better decisions and neurological connections and rewiring and refiring in my brain that wasn't available to me. And I found it in breath work, and I found it in exercise, and I found it in meditation. But for me, it really helped be a lot more efficient versus dependent on the SSRIs in order to continue to avoid the pain. It helped me feel. And that's what you were Saying of, like, going in and through.
Yeah.
I'm not sure. I mean, obviously I want to believe I would have gotten there eventually, but I'm not sure without the assistance of something else, whether it's breath work or meditation. It was such a beautiful way to go in and through.
Yes, yes, yes. Okay. So this is beautiful because it brings us to really the question that you'd asked, which is, so how do you rewire that? How do you reprogram? How do you change? Yeah. And we do not do it through thought, and we do not do it at the level of the mind, which makes me laugh sometimes because level one of our core curriculum is called Mind Magic. But it's really about getting back in your body and then running your mind. So I always laugh about that because I was like, it's not about the mind, but it's. So anyway, we'll never get there at the level of thought alone, ever. We have to get there through the body.
I want to like, because a. That's just going to be a sound bite. But I also think that that's so worth repeating of what. What is available and where. Where do we have to go? Because you said it doesn't start with thought, so I just want you to slow that down and repeat that again.
Okay, great. It doesn't start with thought. You will never evolve, transform, or become at the level of the mind by only being in the mind. And with the mind, it is not even close to enough to think you can reframe your thoughts and change. It is not okay to think that any level of affirmations or mindset is going to do the trick. And it's not because any of those things are wrong either. They're simply incomplete. That's the beautiful conversation that we get to have. You are multifaceted. And so is the levers that we get to pull as we heal, grow and become. Yeah. So as you mentioned, plant medicine, which I've enjoyed as well. And I've also had great experiences with breath work right here on the floor in my office with myself, with tapping, with shaking, with dance, with Kundalini, with oming, with humming, with orgasm, with all these different mechanisms. Right. That have the singular intent of let's get in the body.
Yeah.
By talking to the body, relating to the body. Right. So I want to emphasize that because as long as what you're listening and hearing right now is okay, I must. And I get to reorient and reassociate back to the body. And it's through the reassociation back to the body, that then the mind opens up and the neurotags can untether and we can rewire and fire new neurons together. And all of a sudden you're like, whoa, I can't even remember what I used to think. Like that's, you know, all those things and all of the things that both Bunny and I have just stated will help you to get into the body. Now here's what I want to share about this to anchor it even in, even more. But why, Tracy? Why? When we live in a world that is telling us our thoughts become things, right? And change your thoughts, change your reality once again. Which are all so.
Yes.
And are only effective when you are working with the body. Because 80% of our thoughts come from the bottom up, not the top down. So it's the body driving the level of mind, not the level of mind driving the body. So once you start to have a plant medicine experience, do breath work, tap, just do general breathing, speaking to your body, all these things start to feel your feelings, that's a massive one. Start to release the emotional congestion. All of a sudden it's like your body starts to open and decongest. So imagine like your body is like a congested vessel of the trauma that's stuck in there and the energy that's stuck in there and the emotion that's stuck in there. And what that really means is your body's been stuck in a stress cycle and it needs relief. So imagine it's like, oh my God, this makes so much sense. So my body's stuck in a stress cycle. I'm never gonna have any level of mind or thought that goes beyond worry, futuring past doubt, concern, hypothesizing to keep myself safe, right? It's like, okay, hold on, this is so great. So when I get to the body and I open the body and I process things and I release them and then the body becomes less stressed, de stressed, less congested. It's open, it's flowing, it's chilling. What do we think then? Naturally does to the mind. Now the mind's more open, it's more relaxed, it's more chill, right? Like I still wake up sometimes and my mind's offering me fear based thoughts. I don't have a conversation with my mind. I don't start chasing the. The thoughts that are happening. I get down on the floor of my office and I get into my body and I work whatever's happening out. And by the time I stand back up, I can't even remember what bullshit My mind was trying to feed me.
So I witnessed you do this with a couple hundred women screaming at the Ritz Carlton, which, like, is a whole nother story that you guys will have to buy me drinks to tell you. Like, let's just do two or three right here just to. Because the. The unicorn tribe that is listening to this. Yes. And podcast is like, now lit up and is like, I believe you. I have come to the. Well, let's let them drink a little bit. So give me two or three.
Okay, cool. So first are, can you. They see me and hear me, or.
Is this they can see you and hear you if they're watching. But we'll. We'll describe it too.
We'll describe it so it'll be easy to describe. So basically, let's first start a little bit of relating to the body before we, like, do anything that feels like, what was that? And this is. I want to say something else just so you can have it. The choices you get to make in your becoming process are so simple. Nothing that I am about to teach you, guide you, or hopefully be able to continue to teach you and guide you on is like, oh, my God, I need to, like, have this. A medical degree and, like, hearts are. It's so simple that it's almost like, really, that's all I need to do. So you can do all of this.
Yes.
When we start to realize that it's the body that we get to play with, first I want to teach you how to start to talk to your body. Because we spend our whole lives living from the neck up, forgetting that we even have a body. And we want our body to allow us back in to feel safe, letting us play with it in a different way. So we're going to begin by putting your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your belly. And then, like, pull your elbows in so almost feels like you're hugging yourself. Like you feel really like baby in a bundle kind of thing. And then close your eyes if it feels safe. And I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose and fill up your belly. Hold it when you're full and slowly exhale through the nose. Again, taking a deep breath in through the nose. Hold it and slowly exhale through the nose. Drop your shoulders. Let your tongue hang in your mouth. Relax your face. Another deep breath in through the nose. Hold and slowly exhale through the nose. Just be there. Notice the chair holding you. Notice that you feel a little bit more relaxed. And now you can repeat after me silently or out loud, high. Body. I love you, body. Thank you, body. I know how I haven't been with you in a while. I'm coming back to be with you, to love you, to let you love me. You hold so much, you know, so much. Thank you, body. It's safe, body. We're safe, body. Continue to breathe and notice maybe you started to cry a little. Maybe you started to notice a space of tension or tightness that you didn't notice before. Maybe you feel a little bit more joy. Just notice what you notice now. You can take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale. However feels good. And you can open your eyes and come back. Hi, bunny. How was that for you?
That was beautiful. That was. You know, what came to me was I change from the mind. I transform from the body. You know, like, I. I found myself telling my body, like, I'm gonna bring all of you holistically. This is what we were talking about with, like, defy is like, how do you bring your hundred percent forward into the work that you do rather than only creating from the mind or from the limits or from the stories.
And it was just a beautiful moment.
For me, connecting with this beautiful body that's brought three incredible children into this world that is rocking and rolling with two heart conditions and a. And a brain injury. I'm like, man, you're amazing. And I don't know the last time that, like, I really said that. And it's profound for me, growing up modeling because my body, I had a different relationship with my body. My body had a different value when I was modeling than it does now. And again, like you said, trace, that was simple AF and yet so profound. And you know what? I'm pretty sure that I have this body with me 24 hours a day that I could do what you just did and give myself that medicine. I'm. I mean, there's times where I don't feel like I'm in my body, but.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, and. And so I'm going to show and we'll do a play with a couple more things. But the reason why this one's so important is because it's the opening, right? Yeah. We. We are always in relationship with everything. We relate to our partners. We relate to money. We relate to our kids. We relate to energy. Like, we're always. We. That's how we function. We relate to things and something that we were never taught until now. And it's. I feel so proud. It is a mainstay of the things that I teach how to relate to the vessel that's carrying you around that's also in pain like, sister, could you come back here? Yeah. Could you. Could you please come back and reassociate to the parts that you left behind? And you're trying to run off and be in your greatness and live your best life. And you are completely not considering me at all. And I'm the thing that's going to either prohibit or power your desires. Yeah. So even for me, as I was guiding that, I was starting to cry because it's just so beautiful. And one of the other byproducts of every time you relate to your body in that love and simplicity, Any water that needs to come out of your eyes comes. It's such a helpful emoter.
Yeah.
Right. Yeah. And then we start that opening of the body going, okay, she's back and I'm safe. And she's going to keep bringing me the safety. Because the other things that we do as we play with our body and we release and process can feel very scary to our body, very scary to our nervous system that is here as our protector.
Right.
So the next thing is I want to. I want to go to two places, if that's cool with you, Bunny.
Always.
Because I want to give you two other things that are, like, super, like, as easy as that. The first one is, like, grunting. And then you can take it to a scream if you want. What I love about it is we want to just like, I'm going to show you first and let you listen, if you're listening. So I'm just gonna, like, breathe in. The function is about, like, breathing in and starting with an audible sigh. And then whatever's gotta come, you just let it come. So breathing in, breathing in, breathing in. And that might be enough on some days.
Yeah.
And then other days you start going. You start with the grunt. Because it's not about screaming from your voice. It's about guttural. Get down into your root and visualize and bring up with your whole body what is asking to leave you, which is all this. That's you're holding.
Right.
So then it allows you to just simply. And this is a very popular one amongst our students in their cars. All of our students in the school love using their car as a sacred space to release. You can be anywhere. You can make sure you're parked. Obviously, you can grab your steering wheel really tight, white knuckle it, and little by little, your body will feel safer and safer for you to turn that expression up and I really want to anchor this part in. It's not about screaming like you're in a horror movie. It's about the opposite of repression, suppression, depression, and oppression is expression. Right. My. My legs are vibrating. It's like, oh, that's all we're doing here? Yeah, girl, that's all we're doing here. Let's love and finally release all the density out.
Yes. Primal.
Exactly. You are an animal. Yeah. That's what human beings are. But when was the last time you let yourself go primal?
Oh, well, you've just created a new car habit for me. Can I tell you what my previous car habit was? And a funny story about that?
Yes.
So, you know, in the Harry Potter movies, the wizard has the wand that he takes the thoughts out. Like, he takes his memories or his thoughts out, and he puts them in, like, a bowl. Well, I imagined over the, like, last few years that I would do that and take a negative thought that I was having and I would throw it out the window in the car. So one day, I'm sitting at a stoplight, and I roll my window down to be considerate of this negative thought, because we don't. We don't want to throw the negative thought into our window. We actually want to throw it out of the car. So I roll the window down, and I throw the thought out of the car, and the guy in the car next to me ducks.
That's amazing. That's amazing.
And, like, I apologize. You know, like, thinking to myself in my head, my reality was, oh, no. Like, I almost hit him with my negative thought. And his reality was, what did she throw?
Oh, 100. He was reacting to. You were actively throwing some physical matter toward him.
And then that was. My reality, too, is like, oh, don't. Don't let my negative thought hit you.
Right.
I was driving later, like, down the road, I'm like, he's gonna spend the rest of his day being like, what on earth? Sorry.
What?
I'll just be screaming in a parking lot in my car. As you know, during Christmas time, when people are walking up next to the car next to me, and it'll just be like a scream. And then like, oh, hi, I'm good. No, I'm actually fine. I'm. I'm primal. I'm expressing. I'm no longer suppressing. It's very healthy school of becoming. Look it up.
Thank you. That is what I. That is my greatest hope. And I want to say two things about that. We all need to start doing this, because this is what builds the New world. It's the modeling. It's the modeling. Right? Like, there was a time where my kids and my husband would be like, what is mom having an exorcism? What is happening in her office? And now they don't even blink an eye. They say nothing. All they know is mom is just joyous and light, and whenever there are noises, she's just floating like a feather when she comes out to be with us.
Yes, yes. I. I specifically need a sticker for my car, though, that says, like, therapy in progress. Like, don't worry, Therapy in progress or becoming in progress. Something that I could put on my car so that when, and undoubtedly the same guy rolls up to my car, he is no longer concerned. And it's a marketing effort for the school of becoming.
Thank you. I. I accept that. That sounds wonderful. Yes. Yes.
I love that. I think Zig Ziglar had a car university or car. Like. Like, you listened to his audio tapes in the car and it was like, car university, your car therapy.
That's right.
Got it.
I love it. Yay. Accepted.
I wanna. I want to dive in, if you're willing to go here. Something so beautiful that you shared with me was your daughter's journey. And that's something that, you know, being a retired therapist and all the things that I have done in my life, I can look in the mirror and be proud of that skin suit and that being that's in front of me. And nothing quite smacks me in the face on my progress in life and the work that I've done than having my daughter reflect that back to me in how she is, how she communicates, how she shows up. And I. I have two daughters, but I'm mainly thinking about my teenager in her ability to regulate. And so when you shared with me a little bit about your daughter's communication with you and also how her friends witness her, I thought that was so cool. If you're willing to share.
Thank you. Absolutely nothing is off limits. This is so important because there are still some of you, some of you that are listening, that you've heard, you've heard everything you need to hear, and you're ready to commit to truly doubling down on becoming a highly conscious woman who is evolving. Right. And invest in yourself and feel what needs to be felt and do these things. And then there's a collection of you that are listening. And because there's so much opportunity for you to feel different and see different, you're not perceiving that you're enough of a reason to do the work.
Yeah.
So, yeah, I want to emphasize that for you because then I need you to at least do the work on behalf of your children.
Yeah.
Because of what happens in the drip process. Yeah.
If you're not willing to say yes to yourself.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. Then you are willing to say, well, shit, if this is how I love and help my kids, I'm in. And then you'll come around to realizing that it's truly the gift for you and they were just a beautiful recipient of you prioritizing you.
Yes, absolutely.
So. And that's really what happened for Taylor. I mean, she and I. I was a single mother with her. She was eight months old. That's important to be with because none of us. With. None of us enter into a relationship and have children with any intent of not being in that relationship. And we definitely don't thinking that there's still going to be a breastfeeding baby and that relationship and that life is going to be over. And that experience was the beginning of her trauma. And then her biological father ended up choosing alcoholism, which turned into abandonment and really her. Her deeper PTSD driven trauma. And the thing that I doubled down on. It's so great we're having this conversation. I interviewed her on my podcast, and it happens to have dropped today. Oh, my gosh. Through all, it was basically us just sobbing like we realized we. Our souls saved each other. Was a whole epiphany. It was a whole thing. But that whole time, I was doubling down on healing myself and my consciousness and how I was showing up and not to. To be so aware of me, because I knew that that would be the greatest thing I could do for her. Her greater than me trying to run in, save, create detrimental codependency, do anything else that would have been, like, acceptable given the circumstances. And many people in my life were, like, thought I was a little off for the way I was navigating it, but inevitably, by me doubling down on what was happening for me internally and releasing the guilt and moving through my own shame and holding her in trust and the experience of what her soul chose. Because our souls, we are souls in meat suits, right? We're spirits in human form. And. And that's part of all the lessons that come our way, is to answer more of the objective of our soul in each lifetime. And holding her in that trust has created the most sovereign, conscious, emotionally agile and intelligent young woman that I have ever seen. The way she understands herself, the way she understands her, what happens when she gets triggered, and her ability to be Like, I know I just got sucked into the. My body went to the past. I get it. I just have to work with it so I can come back to the present moment. You know, I think I share with you. It's like one of the moments she had when she was rushing her sorority. Hundreds of girls rushing sororities, which in and of itself is a whole other thing. And she texted me, mad. I'm just letting you know, I am the most regulated girl in this room.
Yes, you are.
Okay. Okay, little my. I will find the text. My response back to her was, this is the best text I've ever received. I can die in peace.
I'm gonna need that screenshot.
Yeah, I'm going to find it. What else is. What else is there? When we talk about our legacies, when we talk about what we're building? Yes, we're going to change millions of lives. Yes, we're already changing lives. Yes, we're building a new world. But when we have children, they are our PhD. They are our legacy. Yeah. And you can't miss that point here. Right. Which is why it's all about you, working on you, because you can't help your child. So many women say, okay, you know, how do I help my child be more confident? How do I help them with regulation? And if. And then I say, well, tell me the work you're doing on you. And if the answer is, well, I'm not working on myself, then I say, well, then you should stop trying to help your child, because it's like putting an alcoholic that's trying to recover back into a bar every night. Yeah, it's not going to work. Yeah, it's not going to work. So that's really what it's been. And it's been. It's extraordinary. It's extraordinary. Yeah.
I mean, I. Yes, I. I had goosebumps. I had tears as you were sharing that. And it's. Whether you're a parent, a mom, or not doing this work, and this is. This is part of my life's work. And this is why I had such a. A calling into supporting entrepreneurs in the way that I do now with the energy and the strategy is because you can focus on your business. That's an option. You can take an ssri. That. That's an option. You can focus on your marriage. That's also an option. When you focus on you, though, you are the only thing that all of those things have in common.
Boom. You.
And when you transform, like Tracy is saying, everything around you can't help but Transform.
I wish I was in person with you right now. I would kiss your face. What?
You're. You're welcome to kiss my face the next time we're in person.
What Bunny is saying right now is, like, locks it all in. You are the cause of the effect. Mm. You are the common denominator. You are the generator. Everything is coming through you. It's not. I know you're. You've already heard. You know. Life doesn't happen to you. It happens for you. Yes. Love it. Let's take it up a notch. Life is happening through you.
Yes.
Right. So when we really recognize that. And the other thing you said, which is so spot on, when a variable changes, and since you are the common denominator of every single, single thing you're experiencing in all areas of life, personal and professional, when the variable itself shifts, science says that everything in proximity to that variable must shift in accordance to the variable changing.
Yes.
Which is why you start to have moments where it's like, oh, my God, I don't have to wait on anything or anyone outside of me to finally get their shit together or finally do this or finally do that. For me to have a different. No, you do you. And then everything is going to rework itself around that.
And it goes with our human conditioning because it's the least amount of effort for the most amount of optimal results. Rather than going and fixing my business and fixing my marriage, trust me, I tried this. Steve and I were separated for 11 months and 23 days. Like, I, I, I've done this for you. I've done the homework for you. Copy my answers and do your own work.
Yes.
Yes. And it's. It's like, you are the highest return on investment. I cannot say that enough. Like, you're the key. Like Trace was saying, like, you're the key that unlocks everything. Which Bunny from five years ago was terrified by that I was the key that unlocked everything. And if it, If I was the quote, unquote problem, which there's.
You're.
You're not a problem to be solved. You're not broken and need to be fixed. But the good news is, yes, all of that is also in some ways true. Because the Bunny from five years ago was like, well, if it's me, then I'm. I'm also the solution, which felt like a huge weight on my shoulders. And now that feels like a giant, like, prescription pad for hope.
Yeah. Yeah. Because you are the asset and you're spot on. The ROI guaranteed when you're investing in you Guaranteed learning, wisdom, growth. All of it. All of it. And it makes beautiful sense. Most of us start, most of us experience fear when we hear it's coming through me. I am the problem and the solution. The tagline of my first book, we're the human, you're the problem and the solution. Right? Yeah. It's like, whoa, I don't need that level of responsibility. And because you're still functioning from your unworthy identity or parts of it, you end up self internalizing and you make it mean something about you. So instead of going into the conscious approach, which is the latter of what you shared, which is, this is fucking amazing. Like I don't need to wait on anything or anyone. I can just start going inside and pulling levers and watch the magic happen. Yes. That's actually what I'm guaranteeing you. But what happens is, is the self internalization as a protection goes, oh my God. So like if I am the problem, then what does that mean about me and what does that mean about everything in my life? And oh my God, then that just drives more of the unworthiness. But that's the lie. That's the lie. You are whole and you're going to learn how to love your fear response. And then the rest of it just works. Yes. You know.
We'Re like way over on our normal. Yes. And length of podcast episode and I have another super sexy podcast to get to. I don't know if you, you know this, but I'm gonna be on the Tracy lit podcast. So we. You guys, this is such a treat. Like as you're listening to this episode, this is part one and basically part two, I'm gonna go on Tracy's podcast right after this. And so I'd highly encourage you to go check out that episode and we're going to make sure it's linked in the show notes for you guys because we're just going to go deeper. And as you're listening to this, if you're anything like me 5 years ago, you are triggered af because I don't know that Trace and I would have had this conversation, you know, 10 years ago, I would have listened to her and I would have been like, I hear you and I'm gonna go do this my way. Because like you had said, Trace, like the, the fear, right. The responsibility, and yet the bunny from three years ago and the bunny today is like, this is a permission slip. And I feel like the beginning of that permission slip is what you're inviting with the school of becoming and everything else in Your world. And so I want you to give an invitation to those people that are listening to this and saying, okay, and how, like, where do they go to connect deeper with you? Where do they go to connect deeper with the school of becoming? And what would you suggest from your heart as the next steps on this journey?
Yeah, I want to say something about the trigger real quick and then I'm going to share that information. The trigger is the gift. The trigger is the gift. The trigger is the gift. When we are looking through fear or unconscious victim mentality or limitation, we perceive that the trigger is like, right. And then it pisses us off and we retreat and we abandon ourselves and we abandon the opportunity to really grow and learn. And it's beautifully okay if that's where you are. The amount of students that have said to me, I followed you, then I unfollowed you, I listened and then I couldn't fucking stand you. And then I subscribed again. But then I unsubscribed because, like, she's just right. But then I got pissed off and I left and I came back. So wherever you are on your journey, I love it. I love you. Everything is divine. Timing, it is all good. My invitation for you. If you are finding yourself on the side of she's rubbing me the wrong way and I feel triggered, then my invitation is for you to breathe, play with your body the way I showed you and ask yourself, what if I got curious instead of defensive and just be with that journal it, ponder it, meditate on it, whatever feels good. And then there's two places to hang. Instagram that I am personally on and I here is my invitation. Message me directly DM me on Instagram and let me talk to you. I love to respond via voice. It's so much fun to hang out. I do this because I care and I want to know you and I want to love you. So at the Tracy lit and send me a message and be like, heard you on bunnies and here we go and let's chat. And then the website is the school of becoming.com and when you go to the school of becoming.com you will see our core curriculum and so many free resources. A listen section, a read section, a watch section, the expand audiobook, ebook, our merch store, like all the things, our faculty page, all of it's there. You can start to enjoy it. And anything we have happening is typically on the top of the site. Like when we're having a prowess event or we're doing mind magic enrollment which is Then in conclusion, the real like, so how do I do this work and how do I work with you and transform? You start with the core curriculum, which is mind magic, and you go through your own neuro identity, evolution, and you blow your own mind.
Yes, yes. And that's like a promise and a commitment, not from Tracy, but from the universe and for yourself. And I can't wait to see how it starts with this episode and the journey that you go on when you enter into this commitment with yourself. And so my last question for you, Trace, before I run to the next most beautiful podcast episode recording, is what is your definition of a yes and life?
It's being open, it's leaning into risk. It's loving with your whole entire heart. It's trusting in this thing that's being bigger than you, that everything is always for your highest good. It's enjoyment of ordinary miracles, like a bird flying and the fact that there's like billions of blades of grass. It's orgasms. It's drinking black coffee really slowly in the morning. It's being present when you are where you are. That's the epitome of it. It's being where your feet are and being fully present and in awe of whatever that moment is.
Just take a big, deep breath with us. You know, normally I run into that outro of this episode, but really, I'm just inviting you right now to take another big, deep breath, land in your body, and set an intention for what you're going to do with the rest of today. You have been with us for an hour in this episode, and I'm celebrating you and I'm so proud of you for being here and for this being your starting line or your continuing line or your permission to lean into your purpose and to prioritize yourself. Tracy, thank you so much, so much for being here today.
Thank you so much for having me. It is an absolute joy. Such a pleasure.
Such a pleasure. And thank you for being here as well. Whether you took us on a walk or maybe in your car as you were screaming or throwing negative thoughts out the window, hitting people, I love it. And my ask from my heart is that you would hit the follow or subscribe button or whatever on your platform. Makes sense. And my bigger ask is that you would share this episode with somebody that you truly love. Not only does it do wonders for the show for individuals to find us organically, but you're our people. You are the yes and community. And so your invitations is how this podcast grows. There's no ads, there's no paid money behind the growth of this show. Every single one of you that is listening has found this from an invitation from somebody that is inviting you to live your yes and life. And so that just means the world to me. And it means the world to our guests. And if you have any questions about anything that Tracy and I talked about, please drop us a line@hellonyoung.com or just like Tracy, hit me up on Instagram @thebunny young I read every single message that I get, every single email and comment that you guys have, your episode ideas, you send, your guest recommendations, your notes about how the shows have impacted you, and they mean the world to me. So I'd love to hear from you. And until our next episode, I'm Bunny Young, and this is the yes and podcast.
