If you're feeling nervous or unsure, before walking to a social situation or a work meeting, here's one thing you can do that will shift your confidence instantly. What it comes from is changing your own body and energy in your system. Because when we're afraid, our energy tends to contract, our muscles contract, our body contracts, and we kind of implode on ourselves. And so the way to shift that is to go the opposite of that. So here's what you do. Take just several minutes, maybe 30 seconds to a minute in a private space, an office, a bathroom stall, I don't care. And just literally stand there like this, arms up above your head, way out to the side, like you're making a big Y. You're opening your chest, you're looking up, and you're taking several full, deep breaths. Now, if you're listening to that and saying, oh, my God, someone could know that I was doing it in the bathroom, how embarrassing that is. Just showing you how much of a cage you're living in right now. No one's going to know. And you're going to walk into that meeting, walk into that conversation, walk out back to that date partner that you're having dinner with, and have an extraordinary experience because you're showing up as a much more full, powerful version of you. Isn't that worth it to be a little bit strange, to create the extraordinary.
