Dr. Aziz says confidence is an inside job: manage your inner critic. He teaches you to notice that toxic voice and address it aloud as if it were external, shifting where your authority comes from. A fast way to feel more confident today.
Here's the secret to double your confidence today, or maybe even way more. It's not going to be to get more dates, to get more money, to look different. You can't change that in a day. And that's probably not going to build your confidence that much anyway, because confidence is an inside job. So the fastest way to boost your confidence today is to take charge of your relationship with your inner critic. There's a toxic voice in there that nitpicks at you that says, why did you do that? You look so stupid. Oh, that's embarrassing. How could you have said that? And as long as you are the victim of that voice and you submit to it and you say, oh, jeez, I'm so sorry. Oh, that was embarrassing. Oh, and you agree with it. You let it kick you around. Your confidence will always stay low. The way to change this is to claim inner authority. I am in charge inside of here. And learn how to dialogue with your critic. I'm going to share upcoming videos on exactly how to do this. But first things first. Start to notice when the critic is active and say, hey, critic, what's going on? Start to talk to it as if it's someone outside of you, and you're going to have a major shift in your confidence quickly.
