Hey, Dr. Aziz here. And let's talk today about how you can get more confidence. And the secret that I'm going to share with you today is going to be something that's really going to liberate you to be able to be building that confidence on a daily basis. Because I know you, you know that you need to do that. You know that confidence is not just a one time thing where you have it and then you have it forever. It's like any practice, like any discipline, like any muscle, like any skill. We need to be building it and practicing it. And I'm gonna share one secret today that's gonna help you be able to do that. This is just me from my desk, by the way, if you're ever curious about what's behind the other angle shot with the camera. This is my office. That's the camera back there, the official one. And my multiple calendars. I got 2017 and 2018 there because it's all about planning ahead. And this is my casual wear. This is what I usually wear around the office. Now let's talk about how you can get more confidence. Now the secret that I want to share with you today is don't wait until you feel like it. This is a huge one. I've seen it in my clients and I see it myself. We wait until we feel like doing the thing that's going to build our confidence, Going out there, interacting with people, approaching that person, going to the party, speaking up in a meeting, going to the networking thing. We wait until we feel like it. And then guess what happens. We just end up not doing it. Why? I just didn't feel like it. And not feeling like it can be like we're tired, we're lethargic, we're resistant, we're negative. We tell ourselves it's gonna be a waste of time, it's not gonna work anyway. Why would I want to do it? We have story after story after story, excuse after excuse after excuse. I noticed it this morning when I went to the gym. Something fascinating and made me want to record this video right away, which was this. I had been, not super sick over the weekend, but definitely sick. And I was weak. My energy was low. I had some stomach problems and I spent some time in bed. It was just kind of a rough, you know, not terrible, but couple of days. Then come Monday, I'm feeling sort of better. I go to the gym Monday through Thursday, no matter what. So I'm like, oh, here I go. And I'm kind of woozy on the way to the gym. Like, oh, boy. I mean, I don't know about working out right now. Needless to say, I didn't feel like it. And then I got there and I started to do my warm up, started doing my routine. I was like, okay, here's what I'm gonna do. I don't need to do the same weights that I normally do. I'm just gonna go through all the motions of my workout. I'm gonna do my exercises. If I need to do less weight, I'll do less weight. No big deal. And here's the fascinating thing that I think you'll discover too. Whether it's building your confidence, building your strength, anything in your life. When we start doing it, everything shifts. So I started my first set of squats, and all of a sudden I was like, I feel like my body could do just as much, even though I feel kind of weak in between sets. And then all of a sudden, I was doing a normal workout and actually felt energized by the end of it, instead of feeling more exhausted, more tired, more down. And I think the exact same thing can happen for you. So when you're like, I don't feel like it. If you can get out there and you can go, literally do something light and small, you know, like, doesn't have to be an intense workout. Just go say hi to five people, go give three compliments. Go chat with the supermarket clerk on the way out. Kind of force yourself to do that and see if that gets you into more energy, more of a state to then go do the thing that you really want to do. The party, the networking event, the whatever you need to go put yourself out there for to build your confidence. So do not wait until you feel like it. Get into motion. Commit yourself to doing a small action now and then. Notice how it shifts your energy. Notice how it changes. Notice how malleable we are and how much of our resistance, and I don't want to is just thoughts in our head, usually avoidance thoughts, because we just don't want to experience discomfort. But guess what? You go into it, you get strength, you get energy, you get power, and you go out there with much more confidence to be who you are in the world. So thanks for listening until we speak again. May you have the courage to be who you are and to know on a deep level that you're awesome. And if you love these videos, subscribe. I got lots more coming your way, and we'll talk soon.
