If you're a nice person, you have to watch this video because nice people and narcissists are like peanut butter and jelly. And you tend to attract narcissists into your world. Here's how someone who's narcissistic can make you feel bad about yourself in a relationship. Pay attention if this is happening for you. When you express what you want or need, like or don't like, which is a healthy thing in relationships, the person says, why are you selfish? They instead of being curious about you and your needs, there's an immediate judgment of it and immediate turning on yourself to make you question, why do you have that need? What about you makes you so needy in that way? And all of a sudden you're like, oh, shoot. Because a nice person already believes that their needs are wrong or bad or somehow a burden to other people. And the narcissist will happily agree with that reality. And now you're in this toxic dance. So when you get that response from people all the time, like, why do you need so much? Instead of feeling bad about yourself, pay attention. Start studying narcissism. Look on YouTube. Find out more resources about this so you can break free.
