A short advice video by Dr. Aziz offering three practical strategies to make more friends: (1) stop believing you are unworthy of friendship and identify three reasons people would be lucky to have you, (2) invest regular, scheduled time (suggested minimum 45 minutes per week plus optional weekend hour) to reach out and interact, and (3) reveal your authentic self so others can get to know the real you. The tone is direct and action-oriented.

Three keys to making more friends. Number one, which is the most important one, is thinking that you're not worthy of friendship. Like, who would want to be my friend? Is going to kill your social life, not surprisingly. So stop that. Why are people lucky to have you in their lives? What are three reasons why someone would be so lucky to have you as a friend? If you do not answer that question and really come to terms with that, you bring value to people in their lives, then you're never going to get to step two and actually make friends. Number two is you got to make time for it. So invest 45 minutes a week, minimum, just contacting people, following up with people, reaching out to people. Maybe another hour on the weekend, going somewhere, interacting. If you don't put any time into it, it's not going to happen. You literally have to schedule some time to follow up with people and make things happen. And then number three is unveil yourself. Instead of going and being around somebody and being who I think I'm supposed to be, be more you, share more you, let yourself be known. That person doesn't want to be friends with you. That's okay. There's many, many, many more people that are out there waiting to discover and know the real you.
