Dr. Aziz describes the avoider type: people who postpone things because they expect failure or need perfection. He shares how he avoided approaching women as a younger man, then explains how his clients delay networking, sharing their work, or starting conversations, always finding reasons to wait for the perfect moment.

The next type is what I call the avoider. This one's fairly obvious, right? You avoid the situation. I did this for so many years in my life where it's like, how is it going to go? I'll tell you how it's going to go. It's going to go bad. So why would I go talk to that person? And this is true for me when I was younger in my dating life. I didn't date for many years. Why would I go talk to a woman? I already know how it's going to go because of this. Like, look at me. What do you, how do you think it's going to go? And so I'm not going to go do it. That could be initial conversations, initial connections. This shows up with people at clients I work with around networking, business, putting anything out there of themselves, whether it's a conversation or their work or anything, they tend to avoid it. I'll do it later. I'll share later. I'll share when it's more perfect. I'll, I'll get to it at some point. There's always a reason, always an excuse.
