Dr. Aziz presents a concise coaching method for rapidly changing limiting self-beliefs: use an "act-as-if" question (If I truly believed X, what would I do?), identify the corresponding actions (e.g., approach someone, speak up), then intentionally perform those actions repeatedly. Over time, these behaviors reshape your mind and upgrade your belief in yourself.

A bulletproof method to change your beliefs about yourself. You know, clients ask me often, I don't really feel like I'm a lovable or desirable person. I don't feel confident when I go into the room. So if I tell myself, oh, they're gonna like me. Oh, this is gonna go well, I don't believe it. How do I change that? How do I really get the idea from here into here? So I really feel confident? And the answer to that is one thing. And it starts with this question. If I believed I were attractive, if I believed that people would want to be my friend, whatever the belief is that you want to believe, then what would I do? If I believed I was attractive, what would I do? I said, walk over and talk to the person. If I believe that my presence was valuable here, I guess I'd speak up and share. And then you do the thing. You go approach the person. You speak up and share, even if you don't feel that way yet. And you do that repeatedly. And guess what? Over time, your belief, your mind changes and transforms and upgrades.
