Dr. Aziz delivers a short motivational message urging viewers to overcome social anxiety and build confidence by actively taking risks rather than postponing them. He stresses that saying no, asking for what you want, and asking people out are concrete steps; postponing (‘later’) is driven by fear and keeps people stuck, whereas repeatedly taking leaps can produce an extraordinary life.

So by now, you know, to build confidence, to break out of social anxiety, to become way less nice and more yourself, you must do one thing, is take the risk, defy the doubt. If you're afraid to say no to people, you got to start saying no to people. If you're afraid to ask for things, you have to ask for things. You're afraid to ask someone out, you got to ask people out. Now, that's not radically new information for you. You probably heard that from me and other people. But here's what I see people do all the time. They're like, I gotcha. You got to take risks. Okay, all right, I will. I will, Aziz. Okay, great. Like when? Later. I'll go to the talk next week. I'll give the presentation in a month. I'll change jobs later. And it seems very reasonable. You have a very reasonable story, and underneath it is raw fear. And guess what? That avoidance of risk is going to keep you stuck in pain and social anxiety and low self esteem and low confidence for your entire life. Now, that's not a death sentence. That's a wake up call. So we can all get out there, take more risks, and create an extraordinary life, which is absolutely possible for you if you take the leap again and again.
