Short video by Dr. Aziz explaining that confidence is built through consistent, daily action rather than waiting to 'feel' confident. He compares confidence to muscle growth and recommends testing yourself each day by doing one small socially challenging action at the edge of your comfort zone to build momentum and lasting confidence over weeks.

If you do this one thing, it will radically boost your confidence over time. Most people think of confidence as I, well, when I feel like it, I'll do it, or I'll wait till I feel more confident. That's not how confidence works. It's much more like the gym. If you have a commitment to build muscle, you go to the gym whether you feel like it or not. And that's how confidence is. Because confidence is a byproduct of action, just like the muscle growth is a byproduct of taking those actions in the gym. What's the one thing that you can do every day that's going to boost that muscle of confidence? It's going to be to test yourself, just like you do in the gym. You strain a little bit against that edge. So do one thing per day that's socially just a little bit at the edge of your comfort zone. Maybe it's as small as starting a conversation with a colleague you normally avoid or sending an email that's just slightly more direct than you normally would. Nothing crazy, but over time, if you do that, within several weeks, you'll notice a momentum and a strength and a confidence that's the result of all that action.
