Do you have the confidence to let you be you? That might sound kind of like an abstract question, but trust me, it is very practical. And it affects how you show up today, tomorrow in your love life at work, with your family, with kids, with parents, with everything. Are you letting you be you now? What does that even mean? Well, you know, who am I? That's a big question. That's like a lifelong question. It's a philosophical question. It's a spiritual question, right? But on one level, you could think of it as like, well, how do I want to move through the world? What do I like? What do I not like? How do I want to spend my time? Who do I want to spend my time with? What matters to me? What kind of work do I want to do? What do I want to do when I'm at work? What kind of exercise do I want to do? How do I want to use my body? How do I want to play when I'm with people? What kind of fun activities do I like to do as an adult? What kind of, you know, art do I like to do? Or activities or entertainment or hobbies, or what are my passions? Right? This is one way to think about who you are. There's probably a deeper level of, you know, you are the consciousness of the universe observing itself. Right? But on another level, you're. You're a little person, man, woman, or transgender guy in a body walking around doing stuff. That's how people walk around, by the way. And. Okay, so are you letting you be you? Because so often I talk to people and there's so much that they're holding back, like, I want to go explore this, but, you know, and they might be very aware of it, like, I want to go explore this kind of dance or I want to sing or whatever. And they're like, no, I can't do that. You know, but often we're not even aware of it. We're not even aware of it. We just don't even allow ourselves to think of those things. I run a group program. I will have a link down below. You can find out more about it. It's called Total Social Freedom and it's powerful. It's a 90 day immersion program, and it's about getting people from the fear and the cage of what other people are going to think of me. To be like, I'm free. I can. Total social freedom. I can be me. And one of the exercises, we have weekly action steps and one of the action steps people do about maybe a month into the program or so is to just go out and do something that feels like you, that you might not have let yourself do in a long time because you're afraid of judgment. And we've had people who, you know, one guy was with his kid and his kid, like, wanted to climb a tree. They were on a walk or something and he's like, normally, he's like, I wouldn't do it. And I was like, he did. Same guy, actually, his daughter loved to dance, you know, whatever, five year old or something, and he would never dance. And she'd like, dance, daddy, dance. He's like, no, I can't dance even his own house, right? And then by, by the end of tsf, he's dancing, you know, And I love that, right? So maybe it's climbing a tree, maybe it's dancing. I remember one person in the group walked down the street and let herself sing. She walked, you know, what? Little simple things like that, you know, or big things, you know, like what kind of. I remember I was talking to someone recently and they were letting themselves explore, like what kind of physical activity they had these ideas about. They're supposed to be in the gym, you know, I got to go to the gym. And they're like, I don't like the gym. And I'm like, yeah, but how do you like to move your body? What if it doesn't have to be the gym? Well, it's got to be the gym. Like, okay, what if it's not? You know, Turns out that this guy loved love, loved to be on his bike. That was his thing. And he always kind of thought, oh, it's not enough exercise, or I'm not getting my upper body strong enough. And I'm like, okay, well, I mean, you could do some other stuff too. But what if your main way of moving your body was your bike? It's like, oh, that sounds fantastic. Okay, well, don't do that. Don't do you and don't do it. Sounds fantastic. Do what you're supposed to do, like be in the gym. Where do you even get that rule in the first place? Where did you get your rules in the first place? We just pick them up along the way. Family, friends, peers in school, later on, your colleagues and your mentors and your career. And, you know, some of them are good and some of them are just not you. So you got to shed what is not you. How do you do that best? Experimentation, my friend. Explore, test things, try things, go. You know, I can't tell you how many different physical activities I've tried different instruments I've tried, different pathways I've tried in business, different relationships I was in comes to dating before I met Candace. Just like you just experiment. Am I this way or am I that way? I don't know. Let me test some stuff out. Courage to be you and you might know a lot more than you think if you just really took a step back and say, like what do I really want to do? How do I really want to be? What if this is a question we ask in total social freedom. Like if you were like if you were not afraid of the judgment of others, how might you show up this week you start to explore stuff and it's little things you know, so maybe a certain way you stand or move or eye contact or bigger things like what you do with your free time. So share down below in the comments what you're seeing for yourself and until we speak again, may have the courage to be who you are and to know on a deep level that you're awesome.
