A short motivational talk by Dr. Aziz explaining that confidence is produced by action rather than waiting to 'feel' confident first. He advises doing very small, daily, incremental actions (e.g., greeting one new person per day) to build momentum and rapidly increase social confidence.

You're about to discover the easiest way to build confidence incredibly fast. You have to understand that confidence is a byproduct of action. You don't get the confidence and then go do the things. I'll approach the person when I feel like it. I'll give that public talk when I feel more confident. Guess what? You won't ever feel like it. So we have to switch it around and do the action first. Even though you don't feel confident yet, here's how we make it the easy way. You do the action that builds the confidence in the most small, easy, incremental way possible. So if you want to build your social confidence, you want to connect with people, make friends, date, all that stuff, then say hi to one new person a day, Say hi to the clerk at the store, say hi to that colleague at work that you really never talked to. Like, how is that going to build confidence? That is called momentum. You say hi to one person, you say hi to another person. Maybe do two in a day. All of a sudden, about 10 days, you said hi to 10 or 15 people. That is more than you've done in the last month. You see, it starts this cumulative effect, and you can apply this to anything. Make it really small and do it daily, and you will be amazed at how fast your confidence grows.
