Here's the fastest and most powerful effective way to stop obsessing over somebody. First, you have to realize that obsessing over somebody might seem like it's about the person. They're so great. They're such a good fit for me. They're the one for me. And that's actually part of the problem. There's a perception that I need this person.
I need something from them. Their attention, their love, their approval, their desire.
They're wanting to be with me in order to feel okay. And as long.
As you believe that.
There is an infinite amount of suffering.
Because maybe reality is showing you that.
They don't want to be with you, you actually go to towards that pain. I know it's the last thing you want to do, but that painful feeling of I need them. You go there with your attention. Get out of your mind, get into your body, find the place that's tight and sit with it.
Give that.
Place, your attention, your love, until it calms down. And go inward, be with that feeling. And after five minutes, 10 minutes, you will find that maybe you don't need anything after all.
