Did you know that there's one thing that's stopping you from being way wittier and funnier around other people? And until I discovered this one thing, I had the hardest time being funny. I mean, maybe around a good friend, I could make some jokes, but on a date or in a workplace environment, I would be so stiff and serious. And the reason was because I was afraid of taking the risk to be funny. And that can stop you, can hold you back. What if people don't laugh? What if it's not funny? What if someone thinks it's inappropriate? But here's the thing. If you want to be funny, you got to take risks. So just the other day, I was in a work meeting, and the guy was leading the meeting. There was siren in the background of his audio that kept on getting louder and louder. And everyone in the meeting was sitting there pretending like they didn't notice it. And so I blurted out, I think he's playing Grand Theft Auto and he's on a crime spree right now. And then a bunch of people laughed, and it kind of broke the tension and. But guess what? People might not have thought that was funny, but you gotta take that risk. You're not gonna bat a thousand with this. But if you just keep going, you take that risk, you will be funnier, you will get more laughs, and people will like you more.
