If you want more confidence, you may want to consider consuming less and creating more. Let me share what I mean. We live in an era where consumption is abundant and easy. You can consume anything you could possibly want. You want to consume food. It's there. Any kind of food, it's there any sort of weird, modified, chemically adulterated food like substance that's mostly petroleum with a slight bit of natural flavors in it, that's there at your local gas station or whatever, you want to eat anything that's there, any substance is available to you. If you want to consume anything with your eyes, with your ears, you want to watch anything, instantly, it's there. You want to listen to books endlessly, podcasts, endlessly, YouTube videos, everything is there right here at the click of a button, at the press of a flick of a finger. And that's an amazing thing. I mean, it's led to such great developments in ourselves. Sharing of learning, sharing information. This channel right here exists because of that. So I'm not knocking it. I'm a huge fan and I consume tons of information, ideas and all those things. But we got to have a balance. Because if you're trying to build your confidence, if you're trying to basically being able to create confidence and go after what you want comes from having a certain amount of energy in your system, you are able to go out there and whether it's talking to somebody, creating something, writing something, expressing an idea, you got to put energy into something. Whether it's your relationships or in your career and your physical health, that's how you're going to steer the ship of your life, AKA live life on your terms, with confidence. And when we're constantly consuming, there might be a little burst of energy from what we're learning, like, ooh, interesting. Or a little bit of an energy or excitement about something relaxing or a TV show or something. But if you study your energy over time, when you're doing a lot of consuming, after that a little spike, you kind of start to settle into a lower energy, more passive state. In fact, if you look at generally how we consume stuff, we're often, not always, but we're often in more passive positions, sitting, laying down, you know, and even if you're in motion as you're listening to something, you still might notice your energy declines. And so what we need to do is we need to balance that with creative energy. So consumption and then creation. Now, creation is what's got to come out of you. All that stuff you're taking in, like, let it move around Move through you, get mixed with everything inside of you and then come out in some new way, shape or form. So what do you do to create? What are your methods? What are your pathways of creation? You might already know a few. You might already be doing a few of those. What is it for you? And when I say creation, this doesn't mean it have to be something that you, you know, display in the art museum or something that gets accolades or something that's even recognized by others. But, you know, it's creativity. It's creation energy moving through you. So what is that for you? Is it writing? Is it music? Is it singing? Is it moving your body in certain ways and step outside of the box of, you know. Well, creativity is only when you play a song on your piano. No, maybe, maybe it's an instrument. But what about. Maybe you're creative in the way that you like to dress. Maybe you're creative in the way that you like to converse with people. You love to bring in new ideas in your conversations with people. So now all that stuff you're consuming then fuels that creativity so you can share that, those new ideas with people. Maybe your creation is gonna be some way of you sharing your gifts. Some way shape or form, small or large. So what are you creating? What do you create? Now? Don't, don't, don't hide behind the total BS story of I'm not a creative person. I'm just not a creative person. What's behind that is some criteria you have for creativity, some very narrow definition of creativity. Well, it only means if you can play, you know, such and such concerto on the piano, which, if you think about it, is actually not even that creative because you're playing someone else's music. But still there is a creative, expressive element to that about how you play it. But isn't that a very limited definition? What about you can create in anything that you do? Can you be creative in how you solve a problem at your workplace? Can you be creative in how you play with your kids or your nephews or your nieces? Can you be creative in your love life? Oh, yes, you better believe it. So it's not a matter of if you can and whether or not you're a creative person. It's how do I want to express my creativity? And one way that we can diminish that is by just spending all of our time in consumption. So if you notice that every moment of your life is filled with just taking things in. So there's no silence, there's no pauses. Put a little bit of silence in there. Because what's going to emerge out of that silence is a creative idea. That's the first part. And then when the creative idea comes, you want to jump on that and you want to actually start to put it into practice. Because that's another thing that people will do is they'll get a creative idea. Like, oh, that would be great. Yeah. Never going to do it, but it would be great if I did. Let's shift that. Let's change that. Let's get creative. Share down below what are your favorite creative pursuits? What are the things that you do for creativity? How do you feed that daily? Are you giving yourself time to do that and not just having it on? Well, if I get to it later, I will, like, prioritize that thing. Do it first thing in the morning or do it when you normally be watching tv. Find a way to express that. So share down below what you're seeing about yourself.
