Dr. Aziz explains why women distrust overly nice guys: excessive niceness signals you'll say anything for approval, making you unreliable. He recommends dropping the act, taking interpersonal risks, and being authentic instead.

There's one underlying reason why women do not like nice guys. And one, I know I'm not a woman, but I have a lot of female clients and I was on the other side of this for many years where women didn't really want to interact with me. And I thought it was because I was something wrong with me. Maybe I'm not good looking enough. Maybe I'm not smart or charming enough. No, it was because I was being too nice. Here's why that repels women. It's because you are not solid, you're not trustworthy. They can't actually believe what you say because they realize you'll say anything. And so where's the line? Does that mean you will completely lie? Does that mean you hold things back? What will you do around other people? You are not there. You're just a shell of who you are to try to get something from her. Maybe her approval or sex or love. And that is very repulsive. So it's time to shift that. It's time to take a fucking risk and be more real. Say what you think, be who you are and see who actually attract you. Might be surprised that it's way more than you were trying to play nice.
