A gardener shows his Three Sisters bed: corn, squash, and beans planted together. He's harvested 30 corn stalks and 11 pumpkins from one plant, with more coming. The idea works in a garden and in life, where layering efforts over time compounds into abundance.

So just behind me is a really good example of layering and maximizing your food growing space. I've got butternut squash here, I've got about 11 pumpkins on one plant growing beneath about 30 corns all nearly ready to harvest which I'm really looking forward to. Those sweet delicious things and they're part of what's known as the three sisters as a way of growing which is you've got your corn going upright tall, you've got your pumpkins creeping along the bottom and then you can grow beans or peas up the side. I've got them growing over there next to it and and some peas shooting up along the inside. So I've been enjoying some of those already this year and really looking forward to having my corns and pumpkins later in the year. So that's exciting and it makes me think about how you might multi layer things into your life in a way that takes a bit of time to build but then you get a lot more reward at the end. Love to hear your comments. Bye.
