DUYGULARIN DİLİ II- Duyguların sesini duymaya nasıl engel oluyoruz?

In this Turkish-language awareness video, Gülen Gündüz Yılmaz explores why we often fail to hear our own emotions. She explains that when a situation bothers us we tend to construct a story that blames others, creating judgments (yargılar) that quickly shift into self‑judgment and guilt. This pattern, she argues, is reinforced by cultural conditioning that focuses on finding a scapegoat rather than addressing the underlying issue. Yılmaz then introduces the psychological concept of projection (yansıtma), showing how labeling another person (e.g., "cimri" – miser, "bencil" – selfish) actually points to an unacknowledged aspect of ourselves. She expands this idea with a "pole" framework: every trait has an opposite (miser ↔ generous, lord/lady ↔ "çingene" – free‑spirited). When we are strongly triggered by a label, we are likely leaning toward one pole and rejecting the opposite. By moving toward a balanced middle, the need to label others diminishes. The video concludes with a practical self‑reflection exercise: write down five traits in others that irritate you, then assess which pole you are closer to for each, using this insight to uncover hidden parts of yourself and to free emotional awareness.
