Strategically laying out my live launch event content

A creator (host) walks through planning a multi-day live launch/challenge focused on building and selling membership programs. The transcript records strategy for balancing depth with digestibility: making content valuable but not overwhelming, structuring days for engagement (Day 1–3), adding interactive components (quizzes, giveaways, audience prompts), social proof (member taglines/answer wall), and deliverables (cheat sheet, workbook). The host repeatedly emphasizes asking the right questions, crafting a compelling ‘why’, and ending sessions with inspiration.

Hello, my lovely members. Again, taking you behind the scenes of what I'm working on as this live launch is coming up. And today I've been thinking a lot.
About my free content.
So I've created an outline and a first draft based on the steps that you already witnessed here in this first column. So now we can see that we have here the live launch content. I have linked like a status quo. And what I love to do is following the process, brain dumping everything, and then give myself a couple of days off and then revisiting this whole content. Because there a couple of things are true, right? We want this challenge to be exceptionally valuable. We want to give people everything they really need to know about this transformation, to make an educated decision whether or not our program is the right fit. We want them to have a clear plan, to have first wins, and to really walk away from this challenge with, wow, this is so much bigger than I thought, but not like in a way that I will never be able to do this. So this is where we really need to find a balance between providing valuable content and, you know, that more is not more valuable, if that makes sense. Value is really created also from other elements, which is why now we want to revisit all the amount of information that we have under this lens of how can I make this the most valuable for my challenge attendee. And when it comes to that, we also have to take into consideration that we don't want to overwhelm them and we actually want this to be exciting and fun and, and, you know, loaded with inspiration and the harm moments so that they walk away excited and inspired and filled up and not just with, okay, now I know a lot about this, but actually I'm just scared and overwhelmed, right? So. And especially because there is so much that goes into creating memberships. And.
My vision for this program is really to give you everything that actually goes into it, right? Not sugar coated or give like one streamlined process and then you guys are up for yourself. I want to really give you everything you need to be a seven figure owner, a seven figure membership owner. And that means a lot of details, right? And that can be extremely overwhelming. So I'm trying in this challenge to really get it right and, and strike a really good balance between, yes, this is a lot to take in, but they actually walk away still very clear, very inspired, very motivated. Okay, so this is the content that I have so far. It's a total like of 39 pages because some docs are just linked and today I kind of revisited this and I asked myself the following questions. Okay, how can I make this content more digestible? How can I structure the days for a maximum of engagement? How can I create different levels of consumption for different types of people? How can I break up the deliverable into enjoyable pieces, the delivery into enjoyable pieces? What engagement elements can I use during the delivery? Where is there a why gap in what I share? How can I weave in stories? How can I add social proof? How can I spark excitement and inspire people? So. So I personally believe that we don't always have to be able to answer every question, but we have to ask ourselves the right questions.
Always. Because what happens is if we. If we at least focus on asking ourselves the right questions, our brain kind of computes in the background while we're working on other things, and it just sets the stage for what we're paying attention to. So I always aim to ask myself the right questions. So whenever I'm working on something is before I actually jump into working on the thing, I'm like, okay, what are the important questions I need to ask myself about that? It's really worth taking those extra five minutes to jot down. What questions should I be asking myself when working on this? Okay, so these are the questions I asked myself, and I want to go with you through it. I already, like, kind of typed out a few things while I was on the treadmill earlier, and now I want to just break that down by date.
So day one.
Day two.
Day three. So I'm basically making myself like a mental note of. These are like, this is like the show notes. I want to not think about this challenge as I'm providing high valuable content and then I'm answering questions and then I'm giving deliverables. I want to think of it as like, this is a circus and.
I'm planning a performance that blows people away. So I'm thinking of this really as a show that we're kind of putting together and that has a storyline and a script. And I think that's also a really good shift. If you make this okay, this should be an entertaining, valuable spectacle, and it should have program points. And I need to be mindful about how I deliver what I've planned out. So on day one, I initially wanted to start with, what type of membership are we building? And then on the treadmill, when I just was on there, I added.
Wait a second. If I immediately jump into what kind of membership we're building, even if I say, this is why we're building it this way, I'm actually Missing out on this piece of explaining to people, look, these are all the membership models that are out there currently, right? These are all the kind of viable options that you have. And if I am not addressing this, I know that there is a little bit of question open with people, which is, okay, I get that this is the model she wants to build, but aren't there, but aren't there some that are better, right? So I need to actually show people I have understood the whole landscape of membership types that are available and I have very deliberately and diligently made my decision about my model. Right? So, and this is the first thing that came to me. And this came because I asked my question, is there a wire gap? So is there a missing piece in this? Now the next missing piece is actually also in here. What type of membership are we building and why? Right? So we have to kind of go back to, okay, so this, these are all the pieces, right? I have considered them and this is the one we building. This is why those components are important. But, but also why are we building this specific membership, right? As in for the, like, long term goals for our business in comparison with those other memberships. So this is something I need to bring in early and I'm thinking about.
Like a cheat sheet.
With apps and downsides.
And I'm thinking that this could be interactive.
What types of memberships do you know? Like a little interactive, asking the audience, what types of memberships do you know?
So we could, you know, say, okay, so this is an example of a content library membership. Do you know any memberships like that? Right? So this could be an interactive element. It's like, okay, so maybe we can also ask them, are you part.
Of any memberships?
And then so day one actually needs to start with kind of an interactive.
Are you part of any memberships.
Types of memberships then?
Memberships types.
What would the memberships, you know, fall in? So what categories?
Why do we, why should we start with something like that? Because we immediately want people to engage and if we say, hey, what, what are you part of a membership? Are you paying for memberships? Quite a big chunk of the audience actually will. And it's also important for me that I write down like, okay, what am I paying on a monthly basis for? And you know, even if there's some people in the audience that don't currently pay for the memberships or subscription businesses, whereas I think they might almost nobody be that, that not at least pays on a monthly basis for software, right? What it shows people is that there is opportunity Right. What it shows is, oh yeah, I'm actually also spending there and I haven't even thought about this thing that I'm paying for for three years now. Right. So. And it's also showing, like, how it has. Is relevant for them and we, we engage them, we make them think. Right. So this would be a really, really good one. Then we can go into what type.
Of membership we are building and why. And with that we can introduce my and Jessa's memberships briefly.
Okay. That.
Plus growth of our memberships. I think with that we can pretty.
Much relatively well set the stage.
And then show how we also deliver those components and with that make it super tangible. Then we have the terminology and benchmark cheat sheet. So what I thought here is that.
I actually want to give that out a day early.
Give it out a day early. In pre work plus quiz, people can complete within 48 hours to.
Enter a giveaway.
Of $300Amazon gift cards.
So, you know, it would probably be boring for people if I sit down and I start to lecture them about, okay, what, what are these different. Different terms, right? So this is a. How can I create different levels of consumptions for different types of people? There might be people that are happy if they just have this and can print this out. Right. Then there might be people that need a little bit of rewarding to actually look into this. And for them, a quiz like that will be really, really good. And then there, you know, might. Might be people that don't care about it at all, but, you know, for them it's still there. So I think this goes into that and it helps me that I can address.
Explain the giveaway plus cheat sheet.
But not go into reading every point.
Okay, so that's really important because we also don't have enough time to I go over every point, but this gives me enough importance of that cheat sheet to really highlight it by explaining this competition. So I think that's a much more engaging way as supposed to just walking people through all the terminology things. And then. Yeah, so this also what I wrote on a treadmill Clarity for profits workbook.
I think.
I don't know what I wrote there.
Oh, yeah. Include members. Y. Okay, so you might have seen.
The original way why I had this, how I had this laid out that, you know, starting y the membership model, I basically gave the five Fs, which are my Y's for the membership. And then I thought today, again, how can I make this more engaging? How can I tell more stories? How can I add social proof So I thought, oh, it's actually so easy. I can just ask my lovely students, why is the membership model like the best one for you? Right. So now you guys give me beautiful insight into all the things that I might not consider here. That already has 27amazing comments. Right. I so appreciate all of you for doing this. And now I can weave this in. I can also visually show, of course make it anonymous, but also visually show the screenshots, then kind of digest the gist of what you guys say in very simplified statements and then dive into the kind of. I have seven points here, but basically.
I use the just of your statements like really short taglines. Then I have a wall of all your statements and then I have this almost more structured, dry kind of way of doubling down on the why of memberships. And that's really cool because now I can serve on different levels. I can give myself social proof, I can make it more exciting and more digestible. And I, at the same time I can spend less time so I can say, you know, I asked my members, here's kind of the core things that were really important for them. And you can read through all their beautiful comments and explanations here. And you can also see their people that haven't launched yet, people that might struggling at the moment. Like all of them have a clear why as to why they are on the journey. Right. There's, there's also like a comment about somebody having a little bit of a wobble. And the reason I also want to add that because I want to make this like fully transparent. Sometimes when we only pick like the really good things, we, we through the lines, you know, sugarcoat things. And that allows me actually to be very real with people and also make it more exciting to read. Right. And, and kind of seeing that we, we can be honest with each other as into what this journey looks like. So this is what I, what I have planned for this why part. And it's like I'm super grateful that you guys all participate in that.
So.
Why memberships.
Members taglines plus answer wall plus structured wise.
And somebody that needs some more structured wise that needs the 5s they can read through this also after right. So I would just. And again now I have the opportunity to work this out and say I just want to give you my members taglines. I want to give you what they said. I didn't take the ones out of some people that you know, haven't launched yet or somebody who might struggling. I want you, I want you to know what this is like. But why this is still worth it for all those people that are on the journey. And if you need the really step by step of what I have carved out, here is a very quick summary. If you want to read through it, you have it in the workbook. So I can, again, I can just give people the gist of it, make it more engaging. And then for people that really want to dive deeper in, I have the.
Explanation in the workbook.
And then I will also add.
Interactive component.
Asking Jessa why.
Did a membership.
And then asking the audience why they signed up and thought about it.
So here's the thing. We would not want to ask the audience first, right? But then we. Because then we hit them, like, with, you need a complex, insightful answer from me right now. And I was just listening. So we kind of want to set the stage. We want to plant quite a few seeds because some of the things we say, they're like, oh, yeah, that's a really good idea. And then they will see that they often people have a feeling as to why they feel drawn to a certain business model, but they actually can't put it in words. So we have put it in words before for them or our members did in that case, right? Then they can see what resonates really with them. And then they can see, oh, yeah, that actually resonates with why I signed up for this thing. So then by engaging the audience again, we can see that, oh, wait a second, I also have a why. Right? So, and now, because our members have a why and Jessa has a Y and I have a Y, and they have a why, we're kind of all on the same page that we all have a why about a membership. And then when we are clear that we all have a why about the membership, we can help them to carve out their why. And what I want to do is I want to here tell them about the importance of asking the right questions.
Without a necessity of having answers.
I want to explain to you what I just explained to you in the beginning as well. It's important that we ask ourselves the right questions, even if we don't have the answer yet. Because just placing those questions in our brain will set the frame for how we move forward and what we're paying attention to and how we think about things. And eventually, when you're in a relaxed state, you are on a walk, you are in the washroom, you are under the shower. Suddenly your subconsciousness had enough information to compute and you have to answer, right? So this also, by the way, relieves pressure from them because I don't want them. That these are deep questions, right? And this is something that is knowing your wife for membership. It's also not like you write it down and then you got it. It's, it's a. If you do it the right way, being a membership owner becomes a part of your identity and it evolves. And what this why is evolves over time. And sometimes it's different from day to day. Sometimes we feel more connected, sometimes we feel less connected. And if I don't explain to people that it's completely okay that this answer is fluid and sometimes foggy and on some days like so clear, like you always knew the answer and then the next day you're like wait a second, I just had the answer, it's gone now. That that is completely normal and that the key is only to, to always remind ourselves that we have to keep asking us the right questions and really planting the seed. With that we can relieve the burden from them.
The same is defining the beliefs and values. So I think this one is really important because I will give examples from my own beliefs and values and with that I'm actually telling them what my beliefs and values are. So here.
I will probably spend the time here to go through this, go through.
Core beliefs and values in detail.
Crafting inspiring, compelling, tangible vision for your membership. There I will just go through, okay, these are kind of the points of how you do it. These are mine. So that also in itself clarifies what I have to offer. So that's good if I, if I walk through that kind of diligently and then we have the membership look and feel.
So this will need a little bit of a longer time for them. But here I actually decided that I want to plant the seed for day three.
So look and feel, plant the seed for a free and maybe already give out brand words or show how to use AI for finding inspiration.
I'm not sure because that will be like a, that will be mid journey and probably a paid tool. But maybe I can also provide like.
A.
Inspiring visual collection.
The key is here I want to end the day with providing inspiration.
And then I want to also end.
The day with a quote.
Or affirmations.
So this is what I need to think through. Do I want to give like a powerful quote and or affirmation, But I want to, I want this kind of content heavy day to end with a lot of inspiration and like a. Yeah, we got this kind of thing and excitement. So on the second day.
We have all the different membership models and yeah, how can I make this better? So.
I think.
By explaining.
Why we need different.
Models.
Not going too much into detail, but explaining.
Easy to difficult.
I think that's important because if I, I think I need to explain this in detail and then just saying, okay, these modules go from, you know, relatively beginner friendly to really advanced.
I think this is good.
And then maybe giving student examples.
Giving exact student example.
So I need to.
Need to ask my students for.
Quick feedback.
So I need to ask you guys, okay, who has just the main membership? What was, why did you decide on that? What's your current strategy? Or who has a mini anime? Why did you decide on that? So I need to make sure that I have four for everyone to have. Like, okay, this is my student and this is why this is the right move for them.
