$18K Income as A Part-Time Coach? | Ep. 1 - Client Success Story

In this interview-style testimonial, a part‑time coach (Speaker A) shares his transformation from juggling three jobs, a 9‑to‑5, and parenting two young children to earning $18,000 per client through his coaching business. He recounts early struggles—running an unfocused kiosk business in Africa, lacking strategy, and battling limiting beliefs, financial pressure, health setbacks, and family responsibilities. After joining a mentorship community, he learned a step‑by‑step formula: starting with a $1,000 offer, iterating through challenges, masterclasses, discovery calls, and progressively higher‑priced packages ($3k, $3.5k, $4k, $5k, $15k, $18k). The conversation highlights key mindset shifts (asking “what if it works?” instead of fearing failure), the importance of a supportive community and mentor, and practical sales tactics (structuring calls, mirroring questions, stacking skills). He also emphasizes personal growth—vision boards, meditation, spiritual belief—as essential to sustaining motivation. The narrative underscores that success is achievable for part‑time entrepreneurs by leveraging community, disciplined action, and confidence in one’s value, even amid family and life challenges.

It hasn't been easy for me being an entrepreneur, being a coach, having a 9-to-5, being a dad.
There are days I would do challenges and you don't convert, you know. There are days you go into a workshop, you go into a sales call. From 1,000, I went to 3,000, I went to 3,500, I went to 4,000. Now my 3 months is 5,000, the other one is 15,000.
Your story is super inspiring. From someone who started out with no niche at first, no idea what you want to create as a course or a program, right? To be able to now really go all in, diving in AI and now becoming an expert in AI, being able to create this kind of packages for your clients. It's super awesome to be able to, you know what you just, what you told me earlier, right? Last few days that you have just hit 5K in your coaching business. Massive congrats. And doing this on a part-time, it's not as if you're doing this on a full-time, you're still doing this on a part-time with two young children. How old are your kids?
One is 6 and the other one just turned 1 year. So I've been juggling both of them. It's a story that also inspires me as a person when I look back where I started and where I am right now. Because you have helped me walk this journey from the onset when I came across you. And there's a couple of reasons or things that happened before that, before I came across you, because I had tried to do things by myself. I was running another business that wasn't doing well, so making circles, trying to figure out things by myself. But until I joined your community, I came across you and I got to learn the strategies that helped me, what I could do, what I was good at. I was just running business, I would say. We call them kiosks back in Africa. You're just opening and hoping things will happen without a strategy. I would say that's what I was doing when I got started. And it hasn't been easy for me being an entrepreneur, being a coach, having a 9-to-5, being a dad, and trying to split my 24 hours into doing all these things. And to be honest, The journey, I would say, has been worthwhile, but hasn't been easy. I made my first $1,000 online. I think that's when everything changed.
I'm like, this thing is real.
And once I got the formula, the strategy, I didn't need anything else apart from, you know, taking the bat and running with it. Family issues, financial pressure, sometimes health setbacks, or even overwhelm as a leader. There's that pressure of delivery. Are you making it? What you need to know is you're not stuck. You're not failing behind. You're just in a season, and that's the season that you just need to embrace. That's the most important thing. Before we met, I was actually even working at 3 jobs, I would say. And it's juggling, waking up almost 2 AM, 3 AM in the night, going for one job, leaving for that job, coming home, getting ready, going for another job for a couple hours, and then another one. That was the cycle that I was working in. It feels like you're chasing a wheel that is never ending. Today Same psycho, say psycho. Most important thing is crushing my own limiting beliefs that I had because I didn't even believe the aspect that I would make this kind of money that I made today. And you walked me the path where you helped me reveal, expose what I was struggling with. That's the most important part. Once I was able to isolate that and know this is my challenge, because I know I was facing issues of self-confidence, you know, lack of belief, even self-doubt, and even doubting myself in this niche. I'm not an expert in this. How am I gonna fit in this? The belief that you put into me, even looking at myself, because I remember you asked me a couple of questions when I— before even joining the program about what my plans were. When I was able to tie where I was stuck and looking at the vision that I wanted to create, I think everything changed for me. That future pacing of would the journey be if I stay the same place? What if I don't make a decision to get help? You can't raise yourself up if you don't raise your hand. And the only best way of raising your hand is a coach or a mentor who has already walked the path that I wanted to walk. I want to reference this, whether it's a wife or husband. Sometimes when you're given this vision which is planted in your heart, or you start wearing these glasses of a coach, of a mentor, it's very difficult to share those glasses, or give those glasses to somebody else and see what you already see. So I had to face the challenge of bringing my partner on board to see the vision. The amount of money that was invested is not even money I could even afford. I didn't even know how I was gonna join this program, make it affordable to me, uh, with us juggling two jobs and having kids and all those things. What I would love to say is that you want to let your partners that you are asking for permission for support. It's not permission that you're asking. All you need is for them to support you in whatever you're doing because What holds a lot of people back is they go and say, oh, my wife doesn't support this, my husband doesn't support this, and we all go through that phase. You need to understand that you are the only one who has that vision in your heart and is convinced others to come on this journey.
What I learned is that I was asking the wrong questions. You have to have that shift on mindset. The right question was, what if this one works? That is the right question that I should have asked. But my mindset at that very time was coming from a place of fear. But you transformed that mindset and asked myself, what if it works? Because I think that's what most of us miss. We are only looking at negative side of things, which is what our minds have been accustomed to doing. We always go back to the negative aspect because we haven't lived this kind of life. You haven't made that kind of money. So it's very hard for you to visualize that. My biggest fear that I had that time, I learned to ask the right questions.
Everything changed.
I have my 18,000. That's the current one that I have. Never imagined that somebody could give me that kind of money, or I could charge that kind of money to make it far much better. Recently, that's the biggest challenge that we have today in online business. How do you tell somebody who really cares about you? From 1,000 you went to—
for 1,000 I went to 3,000.
I went to 3,500, went to 4,000. Now my 3 months is 5,000. The other one is 18,000. It's been an amazing journey to transform. I think the belief is what gave me the confidence to know that I can pay for 1,000, they probably can pay for 2,000, they probably can pay for 3,000, even 4,000 they can pay. Now, you know, having sold even an 18,000 course and I'm like, yeah, they probably can pay even more than this. So, isn't it amazing? When you shift your focus from even the money, because the money is the value that you're bringing, the value that you're communicating to your clients, communicating the vision of where they want to go. Somebody believe that you can deliver results for them. It's more exciting right now. There are days I would do challenges and you don't convert. You know, there are days you go into a workshop, you go into a sales call. I remember there are times I reached out to you and I'm like, I'm doing these sales calls, but I'm not converting. Those moments will be there, but you need to understand that it's a learning journey. You're learning how to do sales calls. You've never done a sales call today. You, it's not, it's the same thing, a baby. You don't expect the baby will be born today and start walking tomorrow and start eating the other day. It's steps you're stacking. Once you're doing those free masterclasses, going into discovery calls, you are learning how to structure, understand, phrase spark, mirror their questions to back to them. It's an art. Every single thing you need to understand that you are stacking your skills one after another. I was always seeing people say they are making money online, doing all these things. I couldn't figure out how, but the moment I figured out the first $1,000, that was proof to me that I only need to do 10 times of that. $100,000. If I do this thing $1,000 more, I only made $1,000, that's going to be a million. Is it possible? It is. So I had to convince myself that I have found a model and it's working. I don't need to do anything else. I just need to do more. That's the discipline that I had to put in myself. I'm not quitting. Whether I face whatever challenges, I'm gonna stay focused to my goal. And that's the most important thing. I'm gonna reprioritize. I'm gonna clean my house. I'm not gonna find another mentor. This one has helped me make $1,000. I'm gonna stick with this one. I'm gonna learn and stay in a community of fellow people who, um, have the same energy. Because I think also the power of community has the biggest impact also in my growth. You know, that support where fellow coaches, they're sharing their wins, they're sharing their struggles. It helps you understand that whatever challenges that I'm going through, they are not isolated to me. It's only that my problem is different from the other person. And for each level, there will be always a different devil. You haven't done your first challenge, you do it, you're excited. You haven't done your first sales calls, you do you do it, you do your first challenge, you get your first client, you know, all these things, they prove to you that this is something that is working. If there's something that you're doing that is working, then just keep doing that. Other way around that, because what people do is they try and find other solutions. Because I have seen people who have done one thing, it's given them results, but they feel like they're not getting the results that they want, and they start doubting themselves and thinking that they're doing the wrong thing. Refocusing and strategizing, building on this thing, You end up with 5, 7 cups that you're trying to fill your water. Or if you have a jug of water and you have 5 glasses of water, anytime you're trying to fill all of them, it's gonna take probably 2, 3 jugs before you can fill all the glasses. But what if you focused on filling one glass first? Fill it up and everything starts spill out. After that, scaling will come at its own time. And then the other biggest is also the energy that is in the Platz. I don't know how to describe this to somebody who's not part of it, but the level of support, the cheering, the sharing, the shoulders to lean on, all those things, the challenges, and also holding each other accountable. That's another level of support that you can't replace for anything else. And I also see that level of support even in my community. The energy that people come in, it changes everything. It's not about how good I am. It's not about my strategies because everything they need to succeed is within them. That's what we show our client.
And I remember something that someone said before, ROI also means ripples of impact. When we grow our business, one of the biggest ROIs can be the ripples of impact that we can actually create. And I'm glad that brings us all together.
And the second biggest thing is the person who I've become. I always tell people that even if everything else was taken away, the person that I've become, that I've grown into today, is something that I cannot replace. Something that nobody else can take away from me. Believing what other people are telling about you. But once I got to learn that everything that I needed to succeed was within and inside me, you help me unlock. That is the greatest win that I'm always celebrating. That shift mindset is something that I can't replace for money. It's something that I can't replace for anything else. Believing before it has happened. For the reason is because Abraham, or if God had told Abraham that It's gonna take you 25 years to get the land that I promised you. I don't think he would've left his ancient land that he was living. And that what has taught me is I have to believe in the promise, in the goals that I have, in the aspirations that I have before I can see them physically. That mindset shift that I have to do every single day in terms of even my meditations, my prayers, just A vision board. That's something else I also forgot to mention about when we did Transformation Blueprint. I had never had in my life, you know, going on the board and putting all these visions or things that I wanted to achieve and having me look at them every single time. That's another level of energy that has built into me because I always look at them and know this is coming. I'm conditioning my mind to where I want to go. Energy is always focused. Even in those days when I don't feel like I want to wake up and do anything. My vision pulls me even harder on what I want. Once I look at the results, even if I'm not getting there fast as I want, I always go back to that story. It took him 25 years. For myself, God, I don't know how long it's gonna take. The only thing I know is I'm getting there.
For sure it's not gonna be 25 years.
That's so much. Like people make you stop and think. For me, I'll just summarize to say that to get to the next level for me means taking massive action and being courageous. If I want to go to the next level, I just need to to be courageous and become action-oriented. That's what I feel I was lacking in terms of confidence. What I would say to them is, first of all, you don't have to be perfect. You just need to keep going and understand that life gets messy. You have things going on, family issues, financial issues, uh, health setbacks, all those things. But you need to know that it's not about staying stuck. It's about you prioritizing, not quitting, giving yourself Grace when those moments come. There will be moments that you feel like you don't want to do anything, you have no energy, but at least have one or two people that you can lean into when you need help and know that you are not into this by yourself. And if you don't raise your hand, don't expect to raise yourself. Learn to raise your hand so that you can raise yourself. If you give me those glasses that you're wearing, I cannot see what you're seeing. I'm the only person who is saying the vision that has been planted into my heart, into my head, into my mind. And I want everybody to know that every day is still a great day to grow, even in the mess. I appreciate you so much.
Thank you.
