3 Lessons That Will Turn You A Globally Recognized Coach

In this motivational video, Hui Hui Lek recounts her transformation from a shy, introverted coach doubted by others in 2021 to a globally recognized leader who won the 2026 Women Changing the World Leader of the Year award and delivered a keynote in Paris. She shares three pivotal lessons for coaches and entrepreneurs: (1) Leadership – coaching is fundamentally about leading oneself, one’s tribe, and clients through consistent, trustworthy presence and a clear vision; (2) Preparation – especially for introverts, thorough audience research, scripted content, timed rehearsals, and repeated memorization are essential to deliver polished, impactful talks; (3) Longevity and Momentum – success comes from staying in the arena, building micro‑authority for a specific niche, maintaining consistent output, and allowing time for growth, likening pressure to the formation of diamonds. Throughout, she weaves personal anecdotes, practical tactics (social‑media consistency, keynote structuring, timing, memorization methods), and metaphors (Arc de Triomphe, Napoleon’s empire) to illustrate how invisible work translates into visible results, encouraging viewers to adopt these habits to scale their coaching businesses to six‑ and seven‑figure levels.

I just spent my week in Paris and there are 3 biggest lessons that I want to share with you on my journey to get here. So you can see here, this is where I'm staying. This is a penthouse in Paris and we get to have the view of the Eiffel Tower every morning when we wake up. And at night on the hour, the Eiffel Tower, the lights will come off and it will sparkle for about 5 to 6 minutes. And we see that every night. So we've been staying here for the last 3 nights. Why I want to share this with you is because Not very, very long ago, 5 years ago, on February 2021, someone said to me that, Hui Hui, you're so shy and introverted, you can't speak well, and you don't even have a social media following. Who are you to coach others? And I was crushed. And I went into depression for 3 months after that, thinking that I don't have what it takes to be successful in this coaching knowledge business. And 5 years later, here I am in Paris. The first 2 days I was here because I was attending this event called Women Changing the World, and I was nominated Leader of the Year globally, Amongst 1,500 nominees across 97 countries. When they announced my name that I won first place for 2026 Leader of the Year, I couldn't believe my ears. I did not even prepare my speech because there were 15 other finalists in this category and it's one of the biggest categories for the Women Changing the World Awards. And when they announced my name, I was really very surprised. But the people around me, they said they weren't surprised at all. Whether it's the people who I met at the first time at the awards, they heard my keynote speech, and I'll share more with you later. All the people who have been following my journey in the last 4 and a half years as I built my coaching business from zero to multimillion dollars, everyone who saw the post congratulated me and said that it is well deserved. And the first lesson I wanna be able to share with you from this leadership, very often we think that coaching is one-on-one coaching. Coaching is giving someone our time to help them solve a problem or to use our expertise and experience. However, coaching is also very much about leading. How do you lead when you're marketing? How do you lead when you are doing sales? And how do you lead your clients towards the success and the outcome that they want? So leadership is a huge part of coaching. And when you can approach your coaching business as a leader, from marketing point of view, to show up consistently every single week for the last 5 years, I have never not posted for on social media, and I've never stopped posting on social media as well. When you're consistent, what that shows is you're reliable, you're trustworthy, and people can expect you to show up. I've got people who come to me, I've got social media friends who came to me in the last few months, even after my keynote speech for this when I'm in Paris, after following me for 4 and a half to 5 years saying that I didn't believe in you at the very beginning, but now I do. The thing is, when they change their mind and when they're ready, are you still there? So that's what leadership is. You got to be steadfast in your vision, you got to be steadfast in your actions, and you got to be steadfast in believing that you can be the leader. And when you can lead your tribe towards a common vision, when you grow a community and lead them towards a common vision, a common outcome that is for greater impact, where people can come together and feel like there is a place that they belong, a community, a tribe. That's what leadership is about as well, to lead your tribe towards a common vision and to fight the enemy. That most likely enemy is a hidden enemy that your tribe is not aware of. For me, I'm fighting the enemy of playing small. Many of you have been playing small your whole life. You need permission to share your message, your story, and your gift with the world. And now I would love to be able to be the first person to give you permission granted. The second lesson that I want to share with you besides leadership, after coming to Paris, so the first thing I did was I attended the award ceremony and I received the award. I gave my first keynote speech as well. This is my official first keynote. And to prepare for the keynote, it took me a long time, in fact several weeks, to think about it and prepare for it. And here comes the second lesson. The second lesson is preparation, especially if you are an introvert. The difference between extroverts and introverts is that extroverts, they think and speak at the same time, whereas for introverts, we think and then we speak. And so if you do not do your preparation, then most likely what comes out is going to be not as polished or not as smooth you would want it to be. Even preparing for this video, for this episode, I had to think through the key points that I want to share with you guys first and the stories that I want to share with you guys before I hit the record button. So if you love this video so far, make sure you subscribe to my channel so that you can be informed of every video that I do every week. I love to be able to help you grow your coaching business because I know that there's a gift inside of you that someone desperately needs. Now let's get back to the lessons. So lesson number 2 is about preparation. To prepare for my keynote speech, there are a few things that I did. The first one is I wanted to understand who the audience is. When you speak on stage, this is the most important. Who are you speaking to? What are their pain points? What do they need to hear? And what kind of event it is. So for me, this is the Women Changing the World Awards, and I know that there are going to be a lot of women. That's the first key. Number 2, these are impact makers. These are people are impact-driven and they are very purposeful. I want to be able to share something with them that is about purpose, that is about impact, but at the same time, I want to see what is missing. So I decided that when it comes to purpose and impact, another thing that most people do not see on the other side of the coin is profits. It is a payday. It is a business. So in my keynote, I research all the topics that the other speakers are talking about, as well as I try to find as much information about the event as possible. And what I found out is that many of the speakers, they were either in a wellness niche, trauma niche, or they were in the nonprofits. When it comes to what is the difference my speech can make to the entire audience, I think My difference is that I have grown a business to over 7 figures, and I want to be able to share that with them because I strongly believe that behind every speaker, behind every author, behind every nonprofit, and behind every impactful endeavor, there should be a business that supports. And when you've got a business that provides cash flow, that supports all of this, then you can have a consistent path towards purpose and a consistent path towards impact. And when you combine all of that together, that is gonna be one of the most fulfilling businesses that you can build. And so to prepare for that keynote, I wrote that keynote first. I wrote down the script and then I broke it down into 12 different parts. There were already 7 parts that I'm familiar with that I talk about all the time in my trainings, but there were 5 parts that I created that was specially for this event. And so I had to memorize these 5 parts so that I don't overrun. When it comes to speaking on stages, the second key besides knowing who you're speaking to is the timing. Make sure that you keep within the timing and that you time yourself before you get on stage. So I created my script and I started to memorize this 5 segments, and each time I told myself, while I'm in the US, while I'm flying from Singapore to US, the flight was more than 15 hours. And so I took those time, 1 or 2 hours, to memorize these 5 segments. And each time I told myself, if you want to be able to commit something to memory, the easiest way is actually repetition. So I go through each segment 10 times. 10 times. The first 3 to 4 times, I'll read them, and then I'll read them aloud, and then I will speak out the segment without referring to my script. By doing that 10 times, I was able to remember all the key points as well as the flow of the sentences and the sequence. And even before the awards ceremony, I was up until 4 AM rehearsing my keynote speech again. That is preparation. And that is what you do in the invisible. And all the accolades that you see in the visible, all the hundreds and hundreds of comments that you see, as well as all the results that you have seen in the last few years, is all because of the preparation work that I do in the invisible. And if you are an introvert, whether you're an introvert or an extrovert, preparation is key. So if you wanna be able to produce outstanding work, then make sure you prepare. So now it brings us to the third point. What I noticed in this industry is how many years have Tony Robbins been in this industry? 48 years. How many years has Dean Graziosi been in this industry? Close to 30 years. And how many years has Russell Brunson been in this industry? Close to 20 over years. So the key is this: all the people that we know who are highly successful, and for many names who have been in this industry as well, the key is that they were successful also because they were here the longest. If you give yourself the time to learn what you need to learn to gain the skill sets and the capabilities, as well as give yourself the time to build the capacity in your business. Then every master was once a disaster. Regardless of whether you're a disaster at first, if you give yourself ample time to build your business, you will eventually become one of the most successful in your niche. In my previous video, I talked about being a micro authority, which is being necessary to a specific group of people. Now, in this age, You do not need to be world famous like Tony Robbins anymore. You do not need to speak in stadiums to 30,000 people anymore. What you do need to be is to be necessary and vital to a specific group of people. And when you are vital to them, they seek you out, they value your opinion, and they want proximity to you because you can help them solve their problem. And they value you. They value your thought leadership. Just like inside my PLEX program, a lot of my clients, when they meet a problem, the first thing they will think in their head is, what would Hui Hui say? What would Hui Hui do? What would Hui Hui respond in this situation? And this is what I want to do because I want to be able to pass down the way I think, the way I analyze to my clients so that I've now taught them how to fish. Not just give them a fish. In this industry, if you have already started, then make sure that you continue your momentum. Make sure that you don't start and stop and start and stop, because the worst thing you can do is to lose the momentum after you have rocket launched your business. When a rocket launches, it takes up the majority of its energy, and once it gets into stratosphere, it does not require as much energy anymore. If you have launched, then make sure you keep a consistent pace, rest if you must, but do not stop for extended periods of time. And so if you never ever quit and you continue to stay in the arena, and no matter how hard sometimes can be, and perhaps in some situations you might feel highly stressed, or you might be what I call going through perturbation, which is diamonds going through— when coal goes through extreme pressure, that's how diamonds are formed. When you go through extreme pressure but you allow yourself to go through that perturbation, guess what? You're going to turn out even more beautiful and stronger after that. So if you allow yourself to continue to stay in the arena, to never ever give up, that's how you succeed in the end. And success is not a destination, success is a journey. Enjoy the roses while you're on that journey. And when we are in Paris, we went to the Louvre Museum museum. We took the dinner cruise last night to enjoy the night scene of Paris. We were also at the Arc de Triomphe. I love the Arc because it reminds me of leadership. I'll share more with you guys about what that signifies to me. It was— I would really love the place because of the lessons. I really love the lessons looking at what Napoleon Bonaparte managed to build, how he built up his empire. And the Arc was a great storytelling location for me to see all the past events that led up to the success of his empire. And so I hope this video serves you well. And to recap, there are 3 key lessons that I will share with you that I hope you take away into your business. The first one is leadership. To be a leader, not just self-leadership, but also to lead your tribe, lead your clients towards the outcome and the success that they want. The second one is to make sure that you prepare, right? Because the work that you do in the invisible will now bring you to where you want to go. And that's when people applaud you in the visible. And the third is to stay in the arena, to never ever give up. And that's how you achieve your success. And so if you love this videos, and if you want to know how to grow your coaching business, and if you want to learn how to launch and grow your high-ticket coaching business, to 6 and 7 figures.
