In this coaching-style YouTube excerpt, a cancer coach and survivor (Speaker A) shares a personal money block about charging cancer patients, fearing it adds to their financial burden. Speakers B and C respond with probing questions and reframing, emphasizing that paid support increases client commitment, improves treatment outcomes, and validates the coach’s value. They argue that charging is essential for both the coach’s self‑worth and the patients’ seriousness in engaging with the coaching, and they guide the coach to reframe the pricing mindset as a vital part of the healing journey.

As you know, I'm Cancer Coach and my dilemma is my who. Right now, I serve cancer patients, but it's been almost like 6 years and I only started charging the past 3 years. I have this money block that cancer patients are spending so much, and if I charge, I would add to their financial burden. So that's one, how to take that money block off. Is this your personal experience last time? It's a personal experience because I'm a cancer survivor myself. I know the financial demands, and I look at it as if I charge, I will add to their financial burden.
My question to you is, when you were going through the experience yourself, do you feel that if someone was there to support you, it would have been much easier for you? Yes, 2000%, yes. And that's why I'm doing what I'm doing. Exactly. And would you actually pay someone to do that so that you actually go from feeling helpless to to feeling more hopeful again. Yes. And so that you can actually focus on that treatment and be able to get better results out of that treatment. Yes. Do you also believe that when you pay someone for the services, you are most likely also going to take that seriously rather than take that for granted? True, that's true. When you don't pay, you don't pay attention.
Exactly. And this is why they need you more than anything else. And this is why you need to charge for your services, because if you undervalue yourself, not only are you doing them a disservice because they're not paying attention what you do, they're not going to get maximum results out of how you're going to help them. And therefore, their treatment is not going to have the optimum results because they're taking it for granted. Make sense? Make sense. So that is the way you want to approach this. And this is how you want to reframe this in your mind because you are that important in that journey.
