Hui Hui's retail business lost 80% of revenue during Singapore's COVID lockdown. She started free Facebook accountability calls, got her first paying client within weeks, and hit $4.5 million in revenue in under two years using only organic marketing and a "do it messy" approach to rapid learning and iteration.

She looked me in the eyes and she said, "Who are you to coach others?" The second day after I decided to become a coach, Dad was hospitalized. I broke down in a breakout room and I told my friends, "It is just so hard." There is something within me that truly wanted to help people. In 2021, my retail business got wiped out by 80% during the pandemic lockdown. I had only a few thousand dollars left to my name, no social media following, and a coach told me that, "Hui Hui, you are too shy and introverted to ever become a coach. Fast forward to today, I've generated over $4 million in coaching revenue using purely organic marketing strategies, and I've helped over 400 clients build their businesses online, and also became Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi's top number 2 affiliate partner in the world. But this wasn't luck, and I'm making this video to share with you my exact journey from zero to $4 million with every mistake that I made and every lesson that I learned along this way. So let's dive in. Pre-COVID, I was a retailer for 11 years, and we grew our retail business from zero all the way up to six figures in just under two years. But when COVID hit, there was a lockdown in Singapore which wiped out 80% of my entire retail business. The factories in China were closed, and we couldn't get our manufacturers to send us the products. So basically, even though we had orders coming in, we had nothing to sell. And so for 18 months without having any new revenue coming in, and we had to fork out to pay for our warehouse and to pay for all of the other expenses, we had to close our business. At the same time, I also witnessed a fellow retailer's wife attempt suicide because the landlord was just pressing on them so hard to pay for rental. And that's when I realized that I had to completely pivot my business to get out of it. And also I realized at that point in time that there is something within me that truly wanted to help people. So I had a dream for many years, in fact, for almost 14 years, to become a speaker, a trainer, and a coach. And I never thought that it was possible in Singapore because the industry in Singapore wasn't developed at that time back in 2008. And so I kept this dream buried within me while I was still building my retail business, and over time, I gradually forgot about it. And when COVID came, it forced me to confront front what I really wanted. I remember I was attending this webinar in 2020, and I saw this speaker in Malaysia talking about this coaching business, about growing the business online. And I suddenly remembered that I had this dream. And when he started to share what he did in the last 10 years, he made over 8 figures in the digital marketing business. And I realized that that is exactly what I wanted, but I never had the guts to chase after it. And so after that, I reached out to the only 6-figure coach I knew at time, and I asked her about what she thinks if I were to become a speaker, a trainer, and a coach. We were doing it on Zoom at that point in time, and I remembered that it took me a while before I was able to secure this one-on-one appointment with her. And during that Zoom session, she looked me in the eyes and she said, "Hui Hui, you're so shy and introverted. You can't speak well, and you don't even have a social media following. Who are you to coach others?" And I was crushed. After that, I went into depression for the next 4 months, and every day in that 4 months felt like I was just walking around like a corpse, alive but emotionless. And then there was even a time when I was in a shopping mall, and it was just a very small shopping mall in Singapore, and I was walking around and round and round trying to find my way out of that shopping mall, but I just couldn't find the exit. And that was when I realized that I was living in a daze. It was in May 2021 that one day I woke up on 9th of May 2021. I remembered looking at the clock at that point in time, I woke up at 8 AM and I saw that there were 5 emails in my email inbox asking me to attend this challenge called the Own Your Future Challenge. It was by Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi. And when I attended the challenge, because many of my friends were attending this challenge and together with me, it is at 2 AM Singapore time. And so I decided that because many of my friends were doing this overnight, they wouldn't be able to stay up anyway. And since I was free, I had nothing to do. So I might as well just make notes for them. And after that, I even shared my notes inside the group of 500,000 people, and the notes just went viral. And during that challenge, I remember Dean said this one thing, "You only need to be one chapter ahead." And these words completely shifted my perspective, and I decided to take action in spite of all of my fears and the doubts that were holding me back for all of these years. And what I did was I started to give value immediately. So once I started sharing my notes inside that group, that was when the post went viral and people were starting to message me saying that I couldn't attend that challenge because the pandemic forced me to give up my job and I had to work 2 jobs and that's why I couldn't attend my challenge. My parents were in hospital, my kids were in hospital, I was in hospital, and that's why I couldn't attend the challenge. And people were sending me all these thank you messages because of the notes that I posted inside their Facebook group. And after the first day, that was when I got about 8,000 likes and hundreds and hundreds of messages. After the first day, that's when I realized that I think people need this. And I knew that the pandemic has already wrecked many people's lives, and that's why I started to have this thought that I didn't want to have anyone left behind. And so I started to make my notes on Day 2 and Day 3 and Day 4 and Day 5. And every single day, more and more people reached out to me, more and more people sent out thank you messages to me. And that's when I realized that this is what I needed to do. And then one of the days, I received this message from Elizabeth McKay. And Elizabeth, she said this, that for a while, she thought that this is not meant for her. And finally, with the notes, she has found her way back to action. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And when I saw Elizabeth's message, I burst into tears because it reminded me of the time back when I was in my early 20s, when I was just starting out to be an entrepreneur, when I had no support, no mentor, no path, no money, and I didn't even know what to do. And Elizabeth's message brought me back to that point in time. And that was the moment when I realized that this is my calling. This is what I needed to do. I need to show people that there is a path to this. And I've been in business for the last 19 years. I know that I can show someone how to start their business online. And so because of that, even though I did not have an audience, and because of what Dean said, you just need to be one chapter ahead, I started by serving my way. To build up my audience first. And so I had only 22 people in my Facebook group at that time, but every single week I started showing up, giving them free accountability calls. I didn't know what to teach, but I just took a module from a course that I was taking, and every single week I just showed up. I made notes for them, I gave them accountability, I told them, this is what you need to do for this week, and in the next 7 days, let's come back again and let's look at what you have done so far. And so that's what I did for 12 weeks straight. Every week with just 1 hour spending with them, making notes in between, and I was still juggling my retail business at that point in time. And so every day I was just spending about 4 to 6 hours serving them, providing more value every single day. It kept me really, really motivated. And after the 12 weeks, I decided that I'm ready to become a coach. And there's one thing that I missed out. In the second week after I started my free classes, one of them came to me, Ella, I'll never forget her because she came to me and said, "Kwee Kwee, can you coach me?" And I told her, "But I've never, I'm not a coach. I don't know how to coach someone." And she said, "It's okay. You have already shown me that you are a very methodical person and I know that you will be able to coach me to get results." and I started asking her, "Why do you want to start this business?" And she shared with me her dream. And when she told me her dream, I realized that when someone shares their dream with you, that's when they're placing the dream on your shoulders. And I decided that I'm going to take on that responsibility of helping her to achieve her dream. And so I just randomly quoted her the price and she said yes, and she paid in full. It was just amazing to me. The next week, a second person came to me Yes, saying the same thing. And I just thought, okay, maybe I can raise the price. And I just raised the price. And she said yes again. And so I was totally astonished by that. And so in the next 12 weeks, I just served wholeheartedly to these people, these 22 people inside my Facebook group. And I didn't even want to open up my group to even more people because I know that I couldn't cope with more people during that time. And so After the 12 weeks, that's when I decided that I'm ready to step into becoming a coach. Hey, listen, if you're watching this video and getting value so far, I need you to do 2 things. Number 1, hit the like button. It literally helps YouTube to push out this video to even more coaches who needs to hear this. Number 2, subscribe, because when I'm making more videos about how to build your coaching business to 6 and 7 figures and how to run this as an introvert, how to overcome your mindset blocks, how to get more clients, how to create better contents to attract your right-fit clients to you, and how do you turn your mission into a movement so that you can have more fulfillment in your business, right? Then this channel is for you. So remember to hit the like and subscribe, and trust me, you don't want to miss the next videos that I'm preparing for you. Now back to the video. But you know what, the second day after I decided to become a coach, I got a call from my mom and she told me that my dad was hospitalized and it wasn't looking good. And at that time, I was just, I was just torn because I had to choose between my family and I had to choose between my business dreams, a dream that I have put off for more than 10 years. And so because during that time it was still the pandemic times, there were only 2 of our family members who could be allowed to be with my dad in the hospital. And so one of them was me. So I spent the next 30 days in the hospital together with my dad. And in the hospital waiting room, I wrote my very first program. And I remembered on one of the days, as when my dad was going for one of his tests, I took a photo of myself doing this, and I wanted to encourage myself to say that whatever that I want to accomplish, I know that I can do this. And also because I know that I want to take this photo and make a declaration to myself that one day, one day, I will show this photo and I'll use this photo to inspire the heck out of everyone, that if I can do it starting from those kind of circumstances, then everyone can do this as well. And so I use this as the motivation because I really wanted my dad to be proud of me. Because at that point in time, I didn't know what's going to happen. In that 30 days, we were all in the state of uncertainty. We didn't know whether he was going to be able to recover because he went from department to department to department to department, and no doctor was really willing to take on his case because it was a complicated case. And so after 30 days, the doctors finally discovered what was wrong and they were able to discharge him after an operation. But the day that he was discharged, I set my goal that I wanted to make my first $100K in 100 days because I no longer want my dad to be worried about me. I no longer wanted my parents to be worried about me whether or not I'll be able to make a comeback after my retail business failed. And so because my reason was so strong, because I really, really wanted to make this a success and I wanted him to become proud of me, I ran the fastest and the hardest I ever did in my entire life in that 100 days. And so the thing is this, when your dream and your desire is bigger than your problem, you become unstoppable. When you've got a desire that is so big, the how becomes really small. And so when you're able to lead with service, when you start to help people, when you start to show them that you really care about helping them, that's when clients start asking, how can I work with you? And so that's what I did. And so in the next 70 days, in fact, I started to do a one challenge. I started off with my very first workshop, then I did a challenge, then I did another workshop, and then I did another challenge. And within the next 70 days, just 3 days before my birthday on Christmas Eve, I hit my target of 100K in just 70 days. And that was the very first sign that I knew that this is the right path for me. And you know what? All of this did not come without any struggles. It wasn't just a perfect curve to the top. It wasn't just a perfect journey to the top. In my very first Facebook Live, I choked 5 minutes in because I was so nervous. I had forgotten to breathe and I was basically just gasping for air. My very first workshop that I did, I couldn't sleep the night before and my body was shivering uncontrollably that I thought that I had to cancel it. But I did it anyway because I knew that once I made the promise that I'm going to show up, I'm never going to go back on my word because I've always believed that my word is law and I always want to keep my word about everything that I say. And also because my audience was a global audience and I speak Singaporean English at that time, I realized that I had to learn how to pronounce and enunciate in a way that my global audience can understand me. And it was very hard because not only do I need to be able to speak so that they can understand me, I had to understand all the different English accents as well. The American accent, the British accent, the Spanish accent, the French accent, the Italian accent, right, the Australian accent, all speaking English. And I had to I had to start training my ears to understand all of them, and it was so challenging. And in my 4th month, I broke down in a breakout room and I told my friends that it's just so hard. It was too hard, and I didn't even know that I could get up to do my next training. But within the next 24 hours, I got up and I did it anyway. And the thing is this, you don't have to be perfect when you first get started. In fact, you don't have to be perfect anytime. You just have to take the action and progress anyway. And this is something that I share with my clients, the anyway mindset. Do it messy, do it scared, do it imperfect, but do it anyway. And I remember one thing that I had, I wrote down and I pasted it in front of me on opposite my desk, and I look at it every single day, which is, can I allow myself to be bad before I get good? Can I allow myself to be bad before I get good? Do I truly believe that I can really get good at this. And I truly, truly believe in it because I know that whatever that my mind can conceive and believe, I can achieve. And so to the people who still doubt me, to the people who's gonna judge me, and I know that they're gonna be people who's gonna judge me, I tell myself, I'm gonna ask them, should they ever judge me, I'm gonna tell them that, yes, I know I'm gonna suck at first, but will you support me in the meantime? And so that was the mindset that I had. That was the approach that I took. It doesn't matter if people judge me. It doesn't matter if I am bad at it anyway, because I knew that when I start, I'm going to be bad at it anyway. And so I gave myself the permission to be bad, and I gave myself the permission to start. And when you start to progress and we start to tweak, and I call this the Ultimate Success Formula, you learn and do, then you get lots of feedback as fast as possible, then you start to tweak, and then you learn again, and then you go take action again, and then you start to tweak again, you're going to get better and better over time. And so all I was thinking about is how can I take as much action as I can in as little time as I can, which means that I need to fail faster and I need to move faster. So I wasn't thinking about taking shortcuts. I was thinking about how could I move myself faster so that I can get the lessons faster and improve faster. And so in the first 1 year, I had over 10,000 hours of practice. Okay, 10,000 hours of practice in the sense that I had 33 one-on-one clients at one time. And then after that, I moved on to doing group coaching, and I made sure that even though while I was doing my group coaching, I was still doing my events, I was still showing up inside my Facebook group, and I was still talking to people. I was doing chats and in the very first few months for 12 hours a day on my phone so that I can really understand my avatar better and I want to talk to my ideal clients so that I understand what problems they were facing, where were they stuck, what mindset is holding them back. I wanted to know every single thing about them and so I was chatting so much and was I was holding my phone like that and was just chatting and chatting and chatting. Then I, that one day, I couldn't even take the phone out of my hands because my fingers were frozen in place after just chatting and typing so much. And that's when I realized that it's not about hustling. It's about caring enough that you want to serve. It's about caring enough that you really want to show up for your Hoof, that you truly want to show up for them. And so I was running challenge after challenge, workshop after workshop. I was also doing anything between 30 sales calls to 60 sales calls a month so that I could, I could get better at the process myself, so that I could discover what are the mistakes that I'm making, and I can show my clients what not to do so that they can avoid making the mistakes that I did. So I just have to be the one making the mistakes, and they can be the ones taking the shortcut and learning the lessons from me. And so that's exactly what I did in my very first year. And so more and more of my clients got results. That's when my certainty and my confidence grew as well. And that's when I went from charging just at first for $1,997 for a 3-month coaching to then eventually raising my prices to $2,997 $7,000, then eventually to $5,000, to right now, if you want to get my one-on-one coaching, right, it is $100,000 for 12 months. So repetition is the mother of all skills. Repetition is truly the most underrated skills, because the thing is, most people get bored. The thing is, can you repeat until it becomes second nature to you? Can you repeat until it becomes a mastery for you? So what is the path of mastery? The path of mastery is immersion, repetition, implementation, and then you will get to mastery. I call this IRIM. And so because I allowed myself to be bad before I get good, and so I constantly, constantly obsess over these two things, and I teach this to my clients. If you want to be able to thrive in your business, then you absolutely need to obsess over these two things. Obsess over growing yourself and obsess over getting your client results. And so that was what I did. And one more thing is I invested heavily in upgrading my mindset as well as investing in mentors because I wanted to know what strategy works. And so because of that, right, in 2021, I started— that was September 1st, 2021. And the first 30 days, that was September 1st to September 30th, that was when my dad was in hospital. And then after that, once October started, that was when I started my $100K sprint, and I did it before my birthday. So I did $100K in just 70 days. And then after that, I progressed to making a quarter million dollars, then $500K, and then $750,000. And then After that, hit my very first million in just under 12 months in September 2022. So all in all, we have made over $4.5 million in total revenue now. And all of this is achieved using purely organic marketing strategies. And we only started running ads this year after all our organic strategies we have learned them. And so where am I today? We have helped over 400 clients build their businesses online. We've helped thousands of people who have attended my challenges as well as my training events. I've spoken on stages virtually and in person with famous people like Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi, Russell Brunson, Trent Shelton, Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, T. Harv Eker. I've received several industry awards as well, like the ClickFunnels 2 Comma Club Award. I've received that twice in the last 2 years. Also created a movement, and that's something that I'm really proud of, that is changing lives globally, where our clients, they are all spread out in 30 countries around the world, and they're making friends all around the world. Whenever they travel, they go visit one another, and they have now become close-knit friends after being in our community. And many of them have said that this is now their chosen family. And right now we travel, my partner and I, we travel between Singapore and the US very frequently, right, growing our business, and we are truly living life on our own terms. My dad has also recovered and is really proud. My parents are really proud of what I've accomplished so far, and I'm truly making the impact that I've always been dreaming of, all while still very much being an introvert. And so that's exactly how I've generated over $4 million in coaching revenue. I'm telling all you all of this, right, not because I want to brag, but I want to show you what's possible when you follow the right strategy. When the coach told me that, "Hui Hui, you couldn't make it," I realized only a few months later on hindsight that you can't allow others to dictate your dream. You absolutely need to hold that dream because that dream belongs to you. And their limits is their limits. Their limits are not your limits, and you can't allow others to set the limits for you. And so I hope these lessons and these mistakes that I did help you to see that this path is really possible for you as well. If I can do it, then anyone can do it. So if you're serious about turning your expertise into a thriving coaching business online using the exact same organic strategies that took me from zero to making my first quarter million dollars, comment blueprint below and I'll send you a free blueprint on how I made my first $250K as a coach Online with organic marketing.
