Sales Is Not Magic. It Is Math. | Here Are the Exact Numbers That Prove It!

In this solo coaching video, Hui Hui Lek argues that sales for coaches is not a mysterious art but a measurable science. She shares the exact metrics she tracks for her own high‑ticket coaching business, explains why knowing your conversion rate frees you from emotional guessing, and provides a step‑by‑step framework for diagnosing why a sales call didn’t close. The core diagnostic tool is the "Three Silent Questions"—does the prospect trust the coach, see the value of the offer, and trust themselves? Hui emphasizes that conviction (confidence in yourself, certainty in your program, and belief in the prospect) is the single most powerful lever for raising conversion rates, more than scripts or persuasion techniques. She outlines a feedback loop that asks new clients what made them say yes and what would have convinced a no‑client, turning every interaction into data for improvement. A client case study (Edmund) illustrates how raising prices, improving conviction, and applying these principles led to a $100,000 revenue surge in 99 days. Throughout, she stresses the importance of tracking four funnel metrics (registrations, daily show‑up/completion, booked calls, enrollment conversion), maintaining a consistent conversion rate before trying to improve it, and increasing call volume to build calm confidence. The video ends with calls to action for a 5‑day High‑Ticket Course Creation Challenge and additional resources.

Most coaches think that sales is a mystery. Some people say yes, some people say no, and they have no idea why. So let me take the weight off your chest right now because sales is not magic, it is math. Hey, my name is Hui Hui. I've personally done over 500 sales calls in the last few years, and today our business generates over 6 figures every single month. Not because I'm some natural born closer. Even though I am a quiet introvert, I stopped guessing and I start treating my conversions like numbers that I could read, I could diagnose, and I can improve. On purpose. So in this episode, I'm gonna show you the exact numbers to track, the simple way to tell why a call did not close, and the one thing that moves your conversion rate more than any clever technique or any clever script.
So stay with me and let's dive in. Point number 1, stop guessing and start tracking your numbers. Almost every coach makes the same mistake.
They treat sales like a feeling. The call felt good.
The call felt off, and they ride the emotional roller coaster with no idea what is actually happening underneath calls. So let's fix that today because you cannot improve what you do not measure. So I'd like to start off first by how we turn our leads into clients. We nurture them inside our Facebook group. We find out what their obstacles are, and when it's time, we invite them into our immersive events such as our masterclass. We have a 5-day high-ticket course creation challenge or a 3-hour masterclass like our Niche That Pays workshop for beginner coaches. To track the conversions for your immersive events, I always ask my clients for their numbers because numbers, they tell me the picture and they also tell me where are the missing gaps. There are 4 numbers that you need to know. Take a piece of paper right now and write down these 4 metrics. Number 1, how many people register for your challenge or your masterclass? Number 2, how many show up daily and complete it? So there are a few numbers here that you want to track. The show up rate. Day 1, how many people show up at the start? How many people finish day 1? Day 2, how many people start and finish day 2?
And then for the entire challenge, if it's a 5-day challenge, how many people show up on day 5 and completed day 5? So if you track every single day, you're going to have your daily show up rates. You can tell whether your show up rates have fallen over the days, or you can tell whether your show up rates are falling on each day. That is a very telling picture for me as well. Number 3, how many people book call with you out after your event. Number 4, how many of those calls turn into an enrollment into your program? So that last relationship, that last metric here, the enrollment sales divided by the number of booked calls, it is your conversion rate. It's the single most important number that you need to know in your entire business. Our conversion rate is between 60% to 70% of booked calls. So which means that out of 10 calls booked, we would have 6 to 7 people say yes to joining our program. Numbers they tell a story. When you know your numbers and you measure your numbers, you know exactly what to fix next. Because most coaches, they never look. So when sales go silent, they panicked and they change everything all at once. They rewrite the offer, they switch the funnel, they blame the algorithm. But when you know your numbers, you do not panic. You read the story that they are telling you and you fix the one thing that is actually broken. Quick thing, if this is already making sense to you, hit the subscribe button. I teach the real mechanics of how to grow your coaching business to 6 and 7 figures. So remember, every week I post a new video. So remember, when you hit the subscribe bell, you'll be notified of our next video. And comment if you know what your conversion rate is in the comments below. If you do not know it yet, then comment, "I'm not sure," and that is okay because that is the metric that you can start to track from today onwards. Let's get going. Number 2, why your numbers will set you free. Let me show you why knowing this one number changes everything. Say if you're just starting out in your coaching business and your conversion rate is 1 in 7, that means that on average, 1 out of every 7 calls becomes a client. So imagine if you have done 10 calls and only 1 person said yes, and most coaches at this point in time, they feel like a total failure. They decide that my offer is broken, there's something wrong with me, and they wanna quit. But if you look at the actual math, if you close 1 in 7 and you have done 10 calls, with 1 sale, then your next yes is hiding somewhere between call number 8 and call number 14. So if you quit at number 10, you might be quitting 1, 2, or maybe 3 calls before your next client walks in. Does that make sense? So you never had a sales problem. It is because you were quitting way too early. And the more you allow yourself to have the consistency in your numbers, the more you can tell when the next client is coming, which is why knowing your number sets you free. It turns rejection into a countdown and you can take the emotion out of the implementation. Every no, it stops becoming a failure on you. It becomes proof that you're one step closer to the yes that you already know is coming. So the rule is simple in 3 steps, and please write this down. First, know what that number is. Second, make it consistent, hold that same rate. For the next 3 months, which means that if you have 1 in 7, then consistently hold at least that rate for the next 3 months. Okay, take the consistent action so that you at least can have that conversion rate. And then number 3, then and only then you work on improving it. Okay, you cannot improve a number that you have not made steady yet.
Does that make sense?
Point number 3, when a call does not close, you've got to learn how to diagnose it, and I'll show you exactly what to do.
So how do you go about proving their number. You start by knowing why a call did not close first.
Every single time a call did not close comes down to one of the 3 silent questions that the person did not answer with a yes, which means that they said no to one of the 3 questions.
And what are these 3 questions?
Question 1, do they trust you?
So ask yourself, do they trust me yet? If they do not trust you, then nothing else matters.
Trust is built before the call ever happens.
The best way to build trust is getting them to go through your immersive event, your 5-day challenge. Or getting them to join you on a masterclass, getting them to binge on your contents. And so whether it's in your social media, whether it's your events, show them that you're able to get them results. Show them that you're consistent. Show them who you are as a person. And if this is your weak spot, the fix is not a better script. It's not a better sales script. It's not a better conversion. It is how do I earn the trust earlier in the process? Question number 2, do they see value in my offer? This is about how clearly you have shown them the transformation that you're bringing them through. From where they are, which is the pain island, to where they want to go, which is the outcome that they desire? Have you clearly shown them what that transformation is that you can bring them to? Did you clearly show them what that outcome is and how valuable it will be when they reach the outcome? Can they see that by the time they get to the end of the 3-month program, they'll be able to do what they could not do before? They'll be able to be a different person from who they were 3 months earlier. Have you articulated that clearly to them? Yet, right? So that is what it means by the value of your offer. Do they see that value yet?
If this is the gap, then the fix is clearer teaching and real case studies, not a louder or harder close, right? Okay, because if you try to be louder or you try to close harder, that is out of desperation. It is not magnetic. It is not creating an irresistible offer. You do want to create an irresistible offer, an offer where they say, this is so damn good, that is a no-brainer for me. And question number 3, do they trust themselves themselves. This is the big one for a lot of heart-led coaches. So if you are someone who is kind, you are someone who's very passionate, and you're someone who is very heart-centered, then this is where most of you are losing the sale. They believe in you, they just do not believe in themselves or believe in their ability to pull it off or to take the steps to implement to get the result. So your job is not to convince them about your program, your job is to help them believe in themselves again. When a call does not close, you do not guess and you do not go into a spiral. Most You do not let your emotions drive you up and down based on the sale. Ask which of these 3 questions is missing. That one answer is going to tell you where to go work on next. We're now halfway through this video. Out of these 3, which questions are you asking the most? Where do you see the missing gap in your sales calls? Is it, do they trust you? Do they see the value? Or do they trust themselves yet? Which one do you think is costing you the most sales? Drop 1, 2, or 3 in the comments. I would love to hear from you. I read every single comment and I would love to know whether this video has been helping you so far. Let's come back to the episode. Point number 4, the one lever that's going to move the conversion the most and the one thing that's going to help you to increase your conversion rate more than any fancy script, more than any language pattern, more than any clever close is this, is your conviction. Sales is not pressure. Sales is not just about persuasion. Sales is leadership. Sales is the transference of your energy. It's the transference of your conviction. And the most powerful energy that you can ever transfer over to them is your 150% belief in yourself, in your program, and in them. So that belief, it comes from 3 places. Your confidence in who you are as a coach, your certainty in what your program can deliver for them, and your unshakable belief in the person who's sitting right in front of you across the screen or on the phone. When your heart truly believes in all 3 of this, your words will carry power that people can feel, even if it's through a monitor screen like this. Okay? And so this is how it looks on an actual call, whether it's on Zoom or whether it's on a phone. You talk 20% of the time and they talk 80% of the time. You ask the right questions and you let them say their piece. Okay? Because everything that they say to you is a clue, right? Write the word clue in your notes. It's a clue. You're not holding them from opposite side of the table. You're sitting on the same side as them, walking together with them. And when you have built real rapport with them, that's when you can gently challenge them. You can say, "Can I have your permission to just push you a little? Because I believe that there's so much more in you. And I think that you might be playing a little small here because I believe—" And people say yes to that every single time. Why? Because if you did not care about them, you would not actually challenge them. People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. Remember this. And one last secret that I want to be able to share with you. The more calls you do, the better you're able to detach from the outcome and the calmer and more grounded you become. The more calm you are, the more convicted you are, the more you can close. So volume is not just practice. It is how you build that quiet confidence that does the closing for you. And if you're still here in this video, I know you are serious about growing your coaching business. And I love that. Do me a quick favor. Share this episode with one coach who is having a hard time getting clients and maybe they're beating themselves up over it. This might be the exact video that's going to turn their month around. So do me a favor, share with them and be the good friend who can show them the way out. All right, let's tie this up and let's get back to this video. Number 5, the feedback loop that compounds. Last piece, and this is a beautiful piece. After every challenge, after every call, you ask one question. If they say yes to joining your program, ask, what made you say yes? And that tells you what is working So you can do more of it. If they say no, then ask them, what is the missing piece that would have made you say yes to this? And that tells you exactly what to tweak in your offer the next time. Either way, you're going to walk away with the next improvement to your number and you become closer to your next sale because of this. One of my clients, Edmund, when he first came to me, he was undercharging and he was quietly burning out because he was giving a lot of free coaching and just charging $150 per hour for his therapy sessions. He even became resentful of the people that he wanted to help. Once he learned how to create that high-ticket offer, once he learned how to close better, he raised his own conviction. He raised his own prices. He went from charging $150 an hour to then eventually creating a $3,000 program to then creating a $15,000 high-ticket offer. And from then, in the next 3 months, he made $100,000 in 99 days. When someone finally trusts themselves, the sale takes care of itself. So you got to have a clear offer. You got to help them to trust themselves, and you got to show them that you are the person that they can trust. So remember this: sales is not magic, it is math powered by conviction. Know your number, make it consistent, and then improve it one honest conversation at a time. The day that you stop guessing about your numbers is the day that your income stops becoming a mystery.
