Someone caught in a yo-yo of all-or-nothing work days learns to aim for 80% effort instead. The fix: treat productivity like exercise, set a 10-12 hour work window, and schedule time to unplug. Consistency beats the burnout cycle.

I have like periods where I wake up and I immediately start working until I literally go to bed. And then like one week later, I'm like whole day like procrastinating, looking YouTube, you know, and just doing nothing. And it's like periods of time. It's not always. Sometimes I'm super productive, you know, I don't touch phone, I'm not going out. Literally, I don't need to eat. I'm just working. Sure. But sometimes, yeah, I'm just like burnt out.
It sounds like almost a little bit of a yo-yo because like there's days that you give 100% and then there's days that you give 20%. What I would try to do is like really structure your day. Again, it kind of, it all comes down to following a structure, unfortunately. But like, how can I get 80% out of my day? And then, you know, it's kind of like exercise, right? Like you don't go into the gym and expect to bench 315 and run 10 miles. You have to build up to it. So instead of me giving 100% every day, how can I get where I go in, I give 80% every day, but then can I consistently do that day over day over day? And then I have a little bit of a time at the end of the day or whatever to unplug. Because like that yo-yo and that cyclical kind of like productive, nonproductive is definitely just a part of business. I still go through it, but Um, I would, I would really try to like structure something out where you feel like, okay, like I didn't work like in morning to tonight, but something where you, you were like, okay, like I'd be happy if I stuck to this 10 hours or 12 hours that I, I dedicated for the day.
