Jake Setterlun breaks down which AI tool to use for what. Manus for visual work like PDFs and diagrams, but it costs $3,000 a month. Claude for code and complex reasoning. ChatGPT for fast data analysis on spreadsheets. Pick the right tool for the job or you'll waste money.

So as Manus basically lays out my game and all of the layers to it, I thought it would be super important to tell everybody basically what AI to use and when, or at least how I'm using it, because it's definitely a skill gap that I've seen where people are using Claude for everything or ChatGPT still for everything or Gemini or whatever. And it definitely matters which one you use and when because it can get costly too. If I used Manus for everything, I'd be paying $3,000 a month. The way that I use AI, Manus is basically like an AI agent. It has its own built-in computer so it can do everything, but I don't give it tasks to do unless I need like some kind of an end product. So if I'm building out a PDF, if I'm building out some kind of images in a diagram or a report to give somebody, that's where I'm gonna use Manus because it makes the most sense and I need like a visual outcome. It's also great with static images. That's when I'm using Manus. For Claude then, obviously Claude Code is great building out any kind of landers, any kind of apps. And then in addition to that, Claude is great for reasoning and having a lot of contextual information around any kind of scripting, VSLs, just knowing specifically the market. So any kind of scripts, you know, ideation in terms of content, that kind of stuff, 100% using Claude. And then from there, chat, definitely still use ChatGPT. It's more for analysis though. So using it to run reports in terms of— now Claude's okay for this too, but I mean getting like really quick information based off of giving it huge spreadsheets, things like that, and getting analysis off of that just because that much faster than Claude is. That's what I'm using for AI. Of course, we are getting to a point where we want to have an AI— we want to have a full-blown AI team. But as of right now, until we get to that point, this is how I'm using AI in my business and when, because again, it can get expensive if you don't use the right one during the right time.
