In this solo coaching video, Jake Setterlun shares the three primary obstacles that prevent founders and agency owners from scaling beyond $5K‑$50K a month: (1) lacking a clear, long‑term roadmap, (2) operating a leaky sales funnel with weak follow‑up, and (3) key‑person dependency that makes the founder the bottleneck. For each obstacle he offers concrete remedies – weekly roadmap reviews that track numbers and direction, adding multiple conversion mechanisms such as community groups, automated webinars, and DM nurturing to plug funnel leaks, and documenting SOPs plus hiring VAs or full‑time staff to eliminate reliance on a single individual. He concludes with a call‑to‑action, inviting viewers to comment “audit” for a free business audit from his $25 million scaling team.

I've personally audited over 100 agencies and online businesses at this point in time, and there are 3 big things that stand out on why founders and owners just can't seem to scale again, whether they're stuck at $5K a month, $10K a month, or even $50K a month. There are 3 big things holding them back from steady growth. Mistake number 1 is no clear roadmap. A lot of owners get trapped, especially when they're starting their business in the day-to-day operations, and they really forget the long term. They forget the big picture. So the biggest thing that a founder can put into their business is simply having a roadmap. Where are you right now? Where do you want to go? And then connecting the dots on how to get there. And then recommending once a week, really kind of stepping back, looking at your numbers, looking at the roadmap. Are you moving in the right direction? Yes. Okay, great. Keep doing what you're doing. No. Okay. What do you need to change and implement? Mistake number 2 is a leaky funnel and weak follow-up. Most agency owners and online experts are absolutely great at getting their clients results, but they are terrible at marketing for themselves. They have a full-blown business to run. And the thing is, most agency owners and online experts, they rely on one source of lead gen. They might be doing cold email, they might be doing Facebook ads to appointments, they might even be doing content. And all of that is great. I'm not saying one funnel is better than the other. I'm just saying it's leaky, that your follow-up sucks overall. You need to have more conversion mechanisms installed into your business. So give you an example. If you're running Facebook ads into an appointment calendar, you're gonna have a shit ton of people that never book an appointment, and you're gonna also have a shit ton of people that never show up for their appointment. And over time you're gonna build up this database. Well, different people convert with different mechanisms, so not everybody's ready to hop on a call, but by inviting every single one of those people to a community where you can drop a bunch of free assets and nurture them in addition to auto-registering them for a monthly webinar, which allows you to maximize the return on ad spend that you're getting from your marketing, but then maximize your conversions because again, not everybody wants to just hop on a sales call. So if you can get some people on a free training webinar, if you can get some people in a group and then convert them over the DMs, again, you're gonna convert more of your leads to actual customers. And then lastly is key person dependency. And this is what most people talk about, which is you're the bottleneck, you're stuck in the business. Everybody's just coming to you every single day. And to be quite honest, that absolutely does happen. But the easiest way to get outta that is simply SOPing everything out and hiring good people in your business. This can be done with VAs, this can be done with full-time employees, but at the end the day, it's simply documenting what are you doing on a daily basis that you don't want to be doing anymore, giving it to somebody else so you can then get out of that loop, focus solely on the business, get lost in something else, and then do it again and again and again. And that's how you build a business. So if you want us to come into your business and completely audit this for you for free, comment audit down below, and one of the members from my $25 million scaling team can go into your business, map all of this out for you, and have you scaling ASAP.
