A founder grew his business from $20,000-$30,000 monthly revenue to million-dollar months in 12 months, but outsourcing support created cash losses and operational chaos. He switched back to in-house support and now runs multiple smaller businesses instead, trading explosive growth for stability.
Ever since I got into marketing. And what happened was, you know, I had got into, you know, first starting off with, you know, a specific partner. We tried to start a marketing agency, didn't work. But from that point of like, okay, we changed our offer to actually scaling was about 12 months of going from right around $20,000 to $30,000 a month, which it was just me and him, to scaling to that, those crazy numbers.
Is that business still running now, Jake, or is it just done and done?
We got to a point where in that business we were doing, again, Million-dollar months. Well, our support team was actually outsourced because, you know, for us to be able to scale, we needed a partner. So, you know, we scaled down, we started losing money, and it took us about 8 months to go from completely outsourced to in-house. We said we're gonna scale horizontally and we're gonna have multiple little different businesses. It's been more secure and more of a consistent gradual increase instead of just like shooting up to the moon and then obviously crashing back down. Yeah.
