Jake Setterlun argues that high-ticket sales work better when you diagnose the prospect's problem first, then prescribe a solution, like a doctor would. He shows how to feed discovery notes into AI tools like Lovable or Gamma to generate a personalized pitch deck in minutes, making the sale feel consultative instead of pushy.

if you're not using prescription selling, which is an educational way to sell prospects. The days of high-ticket sales and just jamming, you know, products down customers' throats, they're over, right? We need to be educational, and we need to be educating them about our products and our services and showing them how we're able to not only realize that, yes, you have a problem and we have a very specific solution to your problem. So we use something called prescription selling, which mimics a doctor. It allows us to not only have authority during the sales process, but then that allows us to very easily prescribe our services to the customers without it feeling like a sales call. But the key to this is the AI customized sales call. So what does that mean, Jake? That means if you're on a sales call with a prospect, you're gonna have— and you can do this before the call, you can even do this on the call— some kind of AI sales presentation that you populated out that you're tweaking just a little bit to again actually pitch them based off the context of that specific prospect. So if I'm on a prospect, I'm doing a of discovery. I'm doing a little bit of diagnosis, actually asking and understanding, you know, how long have you been in business? What's your biggest pain point? What marketing have you done in the past? Let's just say I'm an agency. What have you tried before to basically solve your problems? And now I can take that during the sales call. I'm noting that all down, right? I'm gonna put that into some kind of a generator. You can use Lovable, you can use Gamma, you can use a bunch of different AI tools.
