Intimacy means sharing a reality where you both feel not alone. The speaker describes a framework using your rational and emotional parts, filtered through conscious love, to create moments of mutual trust. Emotional closure isn't an ending but a chance to deepen connection and build unconditional acceptance.

The essence of intimacy, it is that experience of a shared reality in a moment where we get the visceral experience, the tacit experience of I'm not alone. And so often we walk around so insular in our minds and in our emotions. We can have a relationship and lie in bed with our partner, but we're still kind of trapped in here and the reality is not so shared. And it's an incredible experience when we can sit down with our partner and just for a moment really taste that shared reality and touch it fully. Because those moments are sacred, they're so precious, and that's what is the juice to keep coming back to this practice. It's those moments of shared reality. And that's what we ultimately learn to do with our seer and feeler. My seer and my feeler is in service of creating a shared reality with this person right here. How do I use the truth of my heart to run it through the filter of conscious love such that we could have a taste of a shared reality for that moment. And in that shared reality, love and trust just permeate the moment. Trust is restored. When we learn how to do this, there's no emotion, there's no moment you can't make love through. We think our closure might be the end of intimacy, but what if that's the beginning point every time? Once we use that as our starting point, "Oh, I'm closed. Let's lean into intimacy," it starts to create the deepest experiences of trust and unconditional love we've ever felt. Because we're even loved in our closures. We're even loved when we're imperfect. We're even loved when we're not a perfect practitioner. And that's the real magic that makes this truly sacred.
