Two hosts argue that growth comes from taking small, scary actions outside your comfort zone. Every achievement you have now was once something you feared. Apply for that job, ask someone out, end that relationship: do it before you feel ready.
You should always be doing something that's a little scary. If you're not doing anything in your life that's a little scary, and eventually it doesn't become scary, like, you know what you're saying?
Yeah.
Then you're actually not really living life to the fullest. You should always be making those baby steps because you're going to have a lot of self-growth that you never thought you would have.
It's true. And when you really want to chase something and you're afraid to do it, that's when you should do it. Just get over that fear. Anywhere that you're at in life right now, you were afraid to get to where you're at right now. But think about that time when you made that decision to put that application in for that school or apply for that job or ask that girl or guy out, you know, or quit that job or quit that job. Think about how—
or leave that relationship.
Yeah.
Yeah. Not here.
Yeah, not here. Just think about that time that you felt that moment. You felt hesitant. You were afraid. Like you just felt butterflies in your stomach, but you decided to do it. And then fast forward to where you're at today. Had you not made that decision, you would have never known what it felt like to either succeed or fail to then move on for another opportunity that got you to where you're at today.
