Whatever it takes, 'cause I love the adrenaline in my veins. I do whatever it takes, 'cause I love how it feels when I break the chains. Whatever it takes.
What's up, YouTube? It's Sunday Funday. This your boy Justin. Today's my favorite day of the week, and that is leg day. So Eddie Young and Nathan— I don't know his last name— from Active Body World set out the challenge, the Prima Pearl Challenge, where we demolish our legs on this leg press, and it just messes with you mentally. Today I'm feeling like I want that mental challenge to surpass myself and set a new bar on the things that I want to achieve. So we're going to do that today. But first, I'm sick. Why am I sick? Because Florida is currently under a state of emergency. For a tropical storm that's brewing out there. So, hi Coco, you want a treat? Ooh, yeah, your ears came up for the treat. Cleo. Yeah. Got the Metcon 3s. Flat bottoms are the best shoes to use when you're doing squats, deadlifts, anything leg related in a sense. Strong Lift wear shorts. Legs looking plumped, getting ready. All right, let's go get this started. All right guys, just got into the gym over here at Crunch. We start off with leg extensions. I'm gonna work on getting blood flowing into the legs first, the quads, before we start and kill it. And today, who wants to kill themselves with me? We have Smolbrina all the way from, uh, okay, yeah, Tampa. I was like, I don't know where you came from, but she said that she wanted to do the challenge with me, and, um, little does she know. So what we're gonna do We're gonna work on the V-I aspect of your quad versus the medial aspect. A lot of guys have the big tear drops, but they fail to have the outside. I'm one of those guys. So in order to achieve that, we're doing our leg extensions. Instead of having our feet coming straight out, we're gonna point our toes, point our toes inwards, which activates this a whole lot more and takes away all that pressure, all that—
what's the word I'm looking for?
All that tension off the medial aspect of it. So here we go.
Right there.
All right, so you want to make sure— okay, she's not listening. I am. Okay, you're listening. All right, so you want to make sure that you point your toes inward. You want to take all the pressure off of here, bring it out here. Okay, nice, slow, explode up, hold the squeeze for a second, slow on the way down. Time under tension, muscle mind.
How'd that feel?
A lot different than how we normally do it?
Yeah, I feel like I'm about to die already.
All right, migrating over to death row right now. So The Prima Pearl Challenge, what this consists of: 1 plate for 10, 2 plates for 20, 3 plates for 30, 4 plates for 40, 5 plates for 50. So we're gonna end here, we're adding the weight and we're upsetting, we're not drop set.
Crown for you, oh, oh, let me bleed. As I bleed for you, crown for you, oh, oh, let me bleed. Let me bleed. Let me God, come on! I did it! I did it! Oh, I can't feel my legs. Oh, you hurt my shoes.
I'm dead. I'm done. Take me out, Coach.
Your eyes are watery.
Take me out, Coach. I was crying. I literally cried. Oh my God, I can't feel my legs. I can't feel nothing.
Oh, bruh, they're still white. Don't worry. Of course.
Tasty. All right, Dark Zone baby completed. I'm done.
Your turn now. Oh God.
Prima Pearl women's edition. Oh my God, conquered!
I don't know why I listen to him.
Alright, so we're gonna do single leg lunges on the Smith machine here because I honestly don't feel like lunging through the gym. So we're just gonna keep constant tension right here on the teardrop as we pulse through. Probably about 10, 10 each leg, 10, 15, 15 each leg. We'll do light legs. Light, light, yeah. 15 reps, 15 reps. I'm gonna do 15 reps, okay? Alright, so when you're doing these, you want to have your leg directly underneath the bar. You want all the weight to be coming down right on your leg. So you're not gonna have your leg extended out forward, because if you did forward, you'd be working more hamstrings and more glute. So you want to keep all the tension right here on your quad.
All the way down.
There you go.
Drive through your heels.
How's that?
Great. That's so lovely.
Peachy. I like it. So she just did her, uh, lunch through, and, um, I think she went to the bathroom to go throw up. I'm not sure. Where'd you go?
Uh, nowhere. To the bathroom.
Did you throw up? A little bit. It's been a real leg day, huh? All right, so with these, instead of just doing our traditional just coming up and down, we're gonna lift our hips off the pad here, and as we bring our legs up, we're gonna drive through, pushing our glutes back down to the seat. That's gonna hit more up here instead of putting all the pressure down here. My legs are so white. I can't get over this.
Ew, ew!
Last but not least, we're doing calves. So we're gonna do straight leg. We're gonna have our legs straight, knock that out for 10. Have our legs at a slight bend, knock out 10 more. 4 sets. I couldn't stop.
Uh, yeah, you did way more than 10.
Okay, all right guys, that's gonna conclude today's leg day, today's torturous Sunday fun day. Oh, the light though! Ooh, but that squint. Oh my God. I can't even squint, the sun's so powerful though. All right, so thanks for joining me on my leg day today. It wasn't our usual leg day, but you know, every day is not an ordinary day for me. So if you guys have any questions or comments, comment down below. Make sure you subscribe for my latest updates. I'm gonna try to post periodically, not every day, but just more than I usually would. If you guys know me from Instagram, you know that I'm all about recording my life just because. Thank you for tuning in. I'm out. Peace.
