Stop asking how to do something and ask who can do it instead. Elon Musk delegates to experts rather than getting stuck in the details. A coach doesn't play the game, they direct from the sidelines. This shift frees up your time and keeps you focused on strategy.
Most people try and figure out how can I increase sales, how can I drive leads. Forget the how. Elon Musk is not asking how can I bolt on more tires on a Tesla. He's saying who can do this for me. The coach, he's not on the field, he's on the sidelines, and he tells the team captain, this is the play. The team captain tells the team, and then they go and execute the play. The coach on the sidelines has outside eyes. He's watching and he's seeing what moves can we make, what am I seeing from outside that they're not seeing on the field. If the coach was a step on the field, now he doesn't have outside eyes. He's now too far deep into the weeds. As entrepreneurs, once we figure out who can do this for me instead of how can I do it, that gives you so much time freedom.
