Declutter Your Mind, Find Peace & Discover What You REALLY Want w/ Elaine Glass, Author of Get Quiet

Transcript of a podcast interview (Earn Your Happy) between Lori Harder and Elaine Glass (author of Get Quiet) discussing Glass's personal journey from living inauthentically to discovering her "soul's mission." Glass describes leaving an unhappy marriage, physical and mental health impacts, and practices she developed — based on walking a seven-circuit labyrinth — to "get quiet": gentle body movement, journaling, clearing physical environment and relationships, mental decluttering, rest/receptivity, and tuning into energy points in the body. The conversation highlights practical steps (baths, walks, journaling, cleaning clutter), the seven-path labyrinth metaphor, and the book's release and bonus materials (downloadable chapter, six-minute visualization).

You've been running at the speed of light for your whole entire life. Has it really been working for you? Try something different.
I don't want to get so far from myself again that I wake up and go, wait, how did I get here? I thought I was on the right track.
The path of the mind and the cleaning and clearing of the mind is also about getting present to everything that you're feeling.
That's a scary one for people. That's been a scary one for me in my life.
You have a soul's mission, but right now it might be too loud, it might be too noisy to hear what that is.
When you are unclear and in chaos in your life and in your brain, you create chaos for other people.
In the energy of pure rest, we receive. I know I have a soul's mission. Let's go.
Elaine, I'm so excited to have you on Earn your happy podcast. Thank you so much for coming on.
It's awesome to be here with you, Lori. Thanks so much for having me.
I am thrilled about what your new book talks about. We're going to dive into it, but I know that the journey of writing a book is like a very large journey. It's a commitment. So you have to really, really have a message that is important to you to want to undergo this and put it in a book. So your book is called get quiet seven simple paths to the truth of who you are. I couldn't think of a better topic for all of the, you know, entrepreneurs and big dreamers on the podcast, because I know that this is, you know, such a place of, if we can get back here, it's the most powerful place that we can be, is being able to listen to our soul and where we're actually supposed to be. So tell me about why. Like, why this exact, exact topic for you.
This topic is such a passion of mine because like all the listeners here, I believe we have a soul's mission. A very specific soul's mission. And when we have not connected to that calling, and it whispers to us, and it whispers to us, and when we deny it, when we don't trust it, when we don't obey catches up to us. And that's what it did to me in my life. And I was asleep at the wheel. I fell asleep at the wheel of my own life. The car crashed metaphorically, and my life fell apart because I was not staying true to this soul's mission of mine that had just kept wanting to just enter my world.
I can completely resonate with everything that you just said, I have many moments where the car crashed and I was asleep at the wheel. So for you, tell me a little bit deeper about, like, where you were when you were having these realizations.
So my car crashed because I was totally unconscious and asleep to my life. And in the moment where I sat with my husband of 13 years with two small boys wanting to leave the marriage, that was my lowest moment. How could I have gotten there? How could I have been so asleep in my life that now my two innocent children were going to be faced with a family that was broken apart because of me, because of my actions, because I wasn't listening to that still small voice of Elaine, you're being dishonored in your relationship. Elaine, you are so much better than this. How did you get here? Elaine, there's so much more for you than being a dental hygienist. You've learned so many lessons there. But now it's time to move on and take all that skill set and all of the things that you know are true for you and just elevate. Elaine, you are not living your truest soul's mission. You are living in mediocrity. That's what I heard.
So what are you feeling during this time? Like, not once you hear it, because all of a sudden you kind of have this moment of, oh, my gosh, this is where I'm at. But what was your life like? What was the overall meaning, the emotions that you walked through life with during that period of time?
Fear. Absolute fear. Lack of confidence. I had a mask on. I would walk out my beautiful, huge, luxurious home, living a life that anyone from the outside looking in would think would be perfect. And I'd walk out of that house with a mask on. And to me, that was like a slow soul's death. I'd come back in that house, take the mask on and cry myself to sleep. How did I get here? How did I get here?
So what happened next? You have this, like, life altering moment of I have been sleepwalking, I have these two children. I. Probably showing up a completely different version of yourself to all of your friends, all of your family. So coming out and saying that you haven't, you know, whatever you're about to say, maybe you haven't been happy. You haven't been being yourself. Like, you know what is in front of you. So what are you thinking and what are you faced with, like, in that moment? How are you making the next decision?
You're right. I literally could have won an Academy Award. I was the best actress ever. That really gnawed at me. I was suffering because of that. When you can't be your truest self and find the people that love you the most, that you love the most. So what happened was I sat and made the hardest decision of my life. I left that marriage. I left all the comforts of a luxurious, you know, environment. I was a stay at home mom and all the luxuries that that afforded me to just be present with my children. And I leaped into a tiny little two bedroom home with my boys, a working mother living paycheck to paycheck, holding the emotions of uncertainty, my fears, my children's fears. That's where I started. But I had to get out of the marriage. I had to get out of the lie that was literally making me sick. And it was making me sick because I was depressed, I was anxious. I started to get diagnosed then with Hashimoto's, which is a thyroid disease, which is a, which is exactly where it should have come into my body because that is my throat area. I had no voice, I had no power. I had lost my voice. I had lost everything. And so now what motivated me the most was how could I be the most healthiest mother to my son's mind, body and soul? That was my whole intention moving forward at that point. And I was bound and determined to be the healthiest mom for them because that's what they deserved.
Oh, I, I, you know, I love that you share how it was even physically showing up for you and how you were feeling because I think there's, for me, I absolutely had that it was showing up anxiety, being sick, depression, more anxiety, stress, feeling inauthentic, never feeling connected or happy anywhere in my life, feeling like I didn't really have true friends because how could you ever make a true friend when you're not truly being yourself or sharing?
And.
I think that, you know, for a lot of people, I'd love to hear for you, what were you doing and, and, or using to kind of numb out? Like how were you, how did you keep shoving it down? Because it sound like you were doing it for a lot of years. So for anyone listening, maybe just some different things that they're going through right now to be aware that it could be that they're not using their voice. What were you numbing on?
Well, everything was shoved under the carpet in terms of, well, that's okay. He didn't mean that. He'll, it'll be better next, next time or it's my fault. I'll take the Blame, I'll take the hit. And just looking away at the truth of my life, like, I think we're all addicted to. To looking away at the truth of our lives, and when we really face the truth is so confronting. And so it was just anything from me just totally betraying myself and lying to myself and just feeling sick to my stomach, walking on eggshells in my own home, being dismissed as a mother, not being honored. I felt like. Like a nanny in my own home. And I could point the finger at him all day long, Lori. But really what I did was I pointed the finger right back at me. And when I started to do that, that is when my whole life changed.
Okay, so what made you do that? Like, what made you take this huge, scary leap because you knew you couldn't live like this anymore? But were you listening to something at the time? Were you reading something? Was it just because you couldn't deal with these feelings and because that's a big bridge to cross?
Well, you know, it's like there's something that always just snaps within a person when they make a huge decision like this. Yeah. And sometimes it can be the smallest thing that actually breaks you to the point of making a hard decision. And for me, I was watching Oprah one day, and I remember a doctor coming on saying, if you are stressed, if you live in a state of worry and extreme stress, this will affect your body to the point where you're just going to get so sick. And I heard that, and I thought, oh, my God. Like, I was like, Elaine, she's like, this isn't just nothing. Like, this is your life. This is your health, is your wealth. I was born to be a mother, and I knew that the depths of my soul. I know that's why I'm here, is to be a mother. And so that was my priority. And I was failing because I wasn't happy. So when I heard that it was going to affect my health in these ways, because I was just in my mid-30s, I wasn't aware of my body as much. And so that's when I just said, that's it. I cannot live like this the rest of my life. I know I have a soul's mission. I know I want to be here for my kids and be the healthiest mother I can be. Let's go. Let's do it, girl. Oh, my God.
So you're a single mom. You're now working. You are starting to tune in. You're starting to try to figure out what exactly you're supposed to be doing and listening to that voice. And now, you know, all of the lessons that you've learned throughout that time are in this book. And I'm so curious about what you all unravel during that time. And you have something that you refer to in your book as the lab strength. And then the seven circuit circuits of reflection and discovery. I'm like, please tell me all of these things so that I can absolutely start doing these every day. Because I told you I kind of feel like I'm. I get caught up in the inertia of life, really easy in business. And it's like you have fun until you don't have fun anymore and you forget that you've disconnected so far from yourself that I don't want to do that. So for everybody listening, I know that that's where they are too, is I don't want to get so far from myself again that I wake up and go, wait, how did I get here? I thought I was on the right track. So explain to me what the labyrinth is and then we'll kind of go into the seven circuits of reflection and discovery.
Okay, great. A labyrinth is a maze that does not confuse you. So it is a seven circuit labyrinth that you can find in hospitals, churches, on private properties. And it's a contemplative path that someone would walk. And this is a 4000 year old ancient tool that they knew back then was like a portal into finding yourself again, connecting to that inner power, connecting to the universe, connecting to God, connecting to your truth. And I was led there one day and I started walking these paths to the center of the labyrinth. And I was like, I thought I was crazy, like, what am I doing walking in the desert in circles? But it was, it was on the very first lap around that I clearly heard in that quiet environment the message from I know my soul's voice. And the message was surrender. And I was like, what? What was that? Who said that? Like, what? What's going on here? And every time I've gone back, I hear a message and I've trusted those messages and I followed those messages and I have faith in the messages because every single time I heard something, it was very clear, very loving. And every time that I would tune in and hear those messages, my life would get so much better. It was like I was being directed exactly in the way my life was supposed to be directed. And when you listen to all the outside voices, when you're on social media, when you've got telling people, you should do this and you should do that. And business partners saying, you should do this. Do it this way. No, do it that way. This is where we get lost, and this is where we feel stuck, and we get totally misaligned with our soul's calling.
This is so great because I had, you know, this conversation with your partner, and my question. I'm just cracking up right now. Like, my question was, like, what direction should I go right now? Even though I know what direction I should be in? So I'm. I just love how synergistic this whole conversation is and that you're just helping me cap off right now. So you are walking an actual physical labyrinth. You were, yes. And now you've taken this and you can help us, though we don't necessarily have to walk the physical labyrinth. Correct. Like, you've kind of turned this into something that we can do within your book. So tell us what some of the first steps are in your book to start tapping into these different places where we can discover more about ourselves.
The moment you start this process, most of the time you feel stuck and you feel lost. So what is stuck? There's a. There's something that's stuck within us. And for me, what I realized, it's our energy that's stuck. So this is all about shifting our energy. This is all very subtle, and that's why I have to get quiet, because this is all very subtle movements, very subtle movements that will inform us. And so the very first thing I did was I had to shift my energy in my physical body. That actually looked like one day just getting up, and I started just to walk. It's just taking those first five or six steps. When you've gone through grief, when you've gone through loss, when you're in a transition, our bodies just are, like, frozen. So it's a matter of just moving our bodies. I remember getting into a swimming pool and just dancing and moving my body so gracefully. This is not about running marathons. This is not about heavy weightlifting, which all of that is great. But when we are tuning in this way, in a very gentle, subtle way, that has to match what our actions are. And so swimming, I was, like, playing again, like a child. And this is very playful. This is because the energy that's trying to find us, our muse, God, the universe, whatever it is that's trying to find us, is playful. It's loving. There's nothing heavy or negative about this. So that's the very first thing you do. You just got to start gently nurturing your body. Sometimes that looked like me Getting into a bath with candles and just like, you know, looking at my body, seeing it glisten in the, in the, in the candlelight and appreciating the lives that it had housed. There's just an appreciation for one's body, and that's how you begin to connect spiritually. It actually does start in the connecting by connecting to the physical.
You know, I, at this point in my life, this is what I do now. It's like slow walks in nature. Like, let it be okay. We're not doing it for the calorie burner. We're not doing it for all of these other reasons that we used to do it. And I think, you know, people listening might be like, they're probably. Some of them are working out right now. Some of them are on their drive to work. Some of them, they're feeling like, how am I even going to let that, Let it be okay in my body to be this slow? Did you have a lot of, like, thoughts that came up? Like, sitting in a bath? For me, sometimes I'm like, oh, my God, torture. Like, how did you deal with some of the thoughts when you're coming off of such a, like, busy, fast paced, meaning? Even if we create that drama ourselves, how did you start to slow down? What would you say to yourself, like, this is good for me. What would you say to. To keep at it?
I immediately felt like my nervous system was regulating. Like I had gone from total chaos to now nurturing and honoring my body so much that it was. It was just so pleasurable and so delightful that I was giving myself permission to slow down and to connect. And what did I do? I literally just said, elaine, come on, you've been running at the speed of light for your whole entire life. Has it really been working for you? Try something different. And this was the difference. So when I would take baths or walk slowly and do what I call contemplative learning, I would say, give yourself permission. You are safe. You are safe. You are safe.
What is contemplative learning?
When we actually tune in and awaken to the truth of our lives and we start to pay attention and we start to contemplate within us what we're learning, what we're experiencing, the lessons that we're learning that day, contemplate them, and figure out what the learning is. This life is so magical. As you know, there are lessons and experiences every single day that we totally miss. This slowing down and getting quiet in this particular way is like going from being on a fast race car track to not seeing anything that's out the window to now. Slowing down in a beautiful carriage ride, soaking in everything around us. I mean, that's why we're here. We're living this one precious life, and yet we're missing it. We're missing it entirely. And when we missed life and we wonder what's wrong, that there's something missing within ourselves, I found that it's. We're missing ourselves.
I've never really heard it put that way, but that's so interesting because I feel that, like, that makes so much sense to me. When something is missing, you're missing who being who you are. Like, even just that, when you get to truly understand, you know, the. The glimpses or the parts of my life where I. Where I'm like, oh, I was living, like, this is really me. This is great. We're getting it. Like, you enjoy yourself. You know the term enjoy yourself? Like, it really means enjoy being you. Like, enjoy the experience of being you. And when we're so in it, you don't ever get to even be. Meet yourself, be with yourself. That's really interesting. That really made me think we're missing ourselves. We're actually missing the relationship with ourselves. That's really cool. I love that. Okay, what is the next K. We were. We're going to slow down, we're going to take some baths, maybe. I love to take my contemplative walks. What is our next one?
And also be journaling throughout this. Get it. Because we hold so much that we've got to get it out of ourselves. And journaling is so good. And that could be like, I journal in like actual paper, pen to paper. Then sometimes if I'm walking, I'll voice text just to get it out of my head and out of me. So while you're. While you're slowing down, do this. It's very important. Then the next thing we want to look at because this is all about waking up to the truth of our life, slowing down and paying attention. This is what's going to create a beautiful life. What's going to create you to connect to your soul's mission. So the next step is to clean and clear your environment. And this is the thing, like, once we start shifting our energy in our bodies, just intuitively I have seen that this process is what we just intuitively will do. You've been there where you've been cleaning out boxes, you've been cleaning out cupboards. All of a sudden you just. It's like, it's like you just get this urge to, like, move things, to, like, shake things up and clear things out of your life. So that can be anything out of your cupboards, anything out of outside storage units in your garage. It could be the clutter that you clear. It could be people in your life. It could be anyone sleeping in your bed. I'm talking about a whole clear and cleaning of your environment. This is what affects your heart energy. When we can clean and clear out our environments, our heart energy opens. And when we can open our hearts, that is the one thing that starts everything rolling.
I. I'm watching my life. And, like, as you're talking, I'm thinking, obviously, I think we're all contemplating our lives, but I'm really watching the different phases of my life. In this last year, I kind of went through such an upgrade that I'm not even the same person. Meaning, like, something that I've gone through has created such a different version of me that I had to go through my whole house and cleared out, like, majority of any wardrobe I've ever worn for the last however long. Like, I didn't want any of it near me. And, like, it's an actual physical feeling where I just had to go through and toss out everything. And it was actually such a clearing. But I'm looking at how I've done that in different phases of my life. And truly, this is the least amount of stuff I've ever had, like, ever owned. And it's the lightest I've ever felt. So in every way possible. And I'm finding that, like, I'm like, oh, my gosh, this is literally. And it was just intuitive to do it. Like, I kept telling my husband, Chris, I'm like. It was like five weekends in a row. I'm like, nope, I'm clearing again. I'm clearing again. Because I couldn't go into a room without feeling the energy of the things and feeling them be heavy. I'm like, nope, this. This has got to go. It's time to let go. It's time. Time to cut this out. So just for anyone listening, like, start tuning into. Do you feel those piles in the corner of your room? Are you feeling like these. Your closet isn't resonating? It really made me lighter in every way.
And you just hit the nail on the head right there. This is all about being, the lightness of being. This is about shedding and clearing the heaviness and everything we've accumulated that's no longer ours to carry anymore. And so that's what each path is really doing, Lori, just like what you've done, it's lightening the load so that we can get to that center of us and really feel it.
These are all things that. They're complex, but they're not. You know, they're. They're. They're challenging to do, for sure. But I love that you're. I love that you're saying these things when we're thinking of such a life change or when you're writing about such a life change, because they are. They are the things that are easy in. In theory, and we can all do them. And yes, they might take some time, but, man, they have made such an impact in my life so far. So let's keep going on the labyrinth, because now I'm just on this journey with you.
So the third path is the mind. How to clean and clear out the mind. And when you actually are walking the labyrinth itself, it is the most outer ring of the labyrinth and is the. It is the longest path. And it's the longest path because I believe it's the most difficult. How do we clean and clear out our minds? How do we get to what I like to even call no mind? I mean, that's the good stuff right there. Talk about light. But it's difficult because we have trauma, unhealed trauma. We have experiences of loss and grief that we haven't processed. We are fed so much fear and negativity in the world that we're living in. How do we break out of that? How do we rise above that to have love as our main feeling and inspiration? So the path of the mind and the cleaning and clearing of the mind is also about getting present to everything that you're feeling.
That's a scary one for people. That's been a scary one for me in my life. What would you say to someone who's listening and they're like, oh, God, there's this big thing that just haunts me. Where do you even take that first.
Bite when you walk the labyrinth and you hear messages and you will. You will hear clear messages that are loving. You will feel safe to enter those difficult emotions because you know that you are not alone in this and that you're being guided in such a very, very precise way to being able to heal these things? You're not doing it alone is my point. You're never alone in this process. This process is about trusting the unseen.
When I do these things that you're saying, I'll get the messages as well, which I have faith. Everybody listening, we're all the same. We're all connected to the same thing. If we slow down, it's. It's all very magical. It will happen, I promise. In a lot of my messages, I'm curious. I want to hear on yours. Some I've done alone, but lately a lot of my, like, voices have been to be like, okay, reach out to that person because they could help you with this. Or I'll just use an example so it's, like, better understood. I do a lot of public speaking, but I. Because it's not my main thing, I'm kind of like. And it freaks me out. Like, every time I've done it for years, I'll speak in front of 10,000 people. Make me sick to my stomach. I love the experience 20 minutes in. Hate everything about it leading up to it.
Hate it.
It's so painful. Like, it's the hardest thing that I think I do in my life and, you know, done all the work around it, all the things. And recently I'm like, I want to get better. I want to finally, like, deal with this. I don't know what it is. And it was reach out to this person. Like, they'll take this journey with you, or they can help you or get this coach. Do you get a lot of the answers being more from within yourself, or do they come like that too, as well? Can they be people? Can it be, like, can it be any form of an answer? And how do you know? Have you ever been like, oh, I got a lot of answers, but they weren't necessarily right?
Well, you have to be discerning. And again, when you get the. When you get an intuitive hit, like, this person is going to help me, or for some reason I was guided to this person who then guided me to that person. Like, you have to. You have to be very awake to following the breadcrumbs. And I would say also, if something is really, really scary, if something is really out of your comfort zone, you can look at it two different ways. Because I believe that we're not really meant to live so far out of our comfort zone. I never used to think that I used. I always used to push myself and push myself. I'm the same way. Like, so fearful of public speaking. I would go to Toastmasters. I would push myself and literally be sick to my stomach and totally unable to do anything else. Until that talk was done.
Yes.
And I was like, I'm, like, totally disabled. Like, why am I doing this to myself? So what can I do so that I can live in peace and in health and in harmony. And who am I? What am I trying to prove now? I'm not trying to talk you out of being the best public speaker on the planet. I mean, you already are to me. And what I'm saying, too, is what I had to find was a comfort zone that made me highlight my gifts. Because when we're a little bit more comfortable and at peace within ourselves, we can be. We can shine so brightly. So now what I do is I get interviewed on stage, and I'm okay with that. To me, it used to be, like, a failure. Yeah. If I can't get up on stage and do that thing and power through it, then I'm not good enough. Then. I mean, you know. And so I had to shed that as well. I was holding that, and it was holding me back big time from being on stage. So now I find people who get me, who understand my message, who can highlight it, and it's their superpower to interview. And it's me in that dialogue being able to truly. And I think I'm a lot more effective because the emotion comes out in conversation. So it's. It's just like giving yourself permission to not have it be so difficult.
I love that. I love that. Like, hey, if this is throwing you off and there's a million other things that you love or a modality that really highlights you, and I totally agree. I love. I freaking love Q and A. I mean, it could be like, phil, fill a stadium. I'm great because that's the way my brain wants to think and communicate.
Exactly.
I love hearing that. I think that's. That feels like freedom for me, and it feels like freedom, you know, I'm sure to a lot of people is, you don't have to. You really don't. There's other ways to push yourself where you can still go on with your life.
Exactly. And that's what we're wanting to live in. In these bodies is free. Mm. Otherwise, we're just. We're just. We're just holding. And the whole point here, as you have said, is we're trying to release. We're trying to empty and not hold so that we can be the lightness of being. And you can still be in your greatness, and you can still be doing things that push you. But, my God, like, to what end do we need to push ourselves anymore? It's just like, no more. No more running marathons. Let's lighten up. Let's lighten this up.
That is so much permission to people. I love that. Because that's definitely. That is. It makes room. It makes room for more of what we love. And you can have a very fulfilling life and grow. There's still so much room for growth without making yourself miserable. Because there's growth and facing your fears and doing uncomfortable things. But then there's like, you know, the addiction to uncomfortable things where you start to feel like if you're not always uncomfortable, that maybe you're not growing. There's other ways to grow. I love that. And deepen our relationships. That's interesting. You just made me feel like parts of my life. I was like, well, I'm growing and avoided deepening relationships because that was scary to me. So there have been times where it's been easier to do the scariest thing physically possible than to sit in the discomfort of really being vulnerably seen in relationships.
Well, you. You just are speaking the truth today.
Lori, because you're just giving me therapy. I'm like, oh, sorry. Thanks.
You're right. Because it's like a resistance to other things that really we need to learn.
Just having this moment of, like, wow. It's so easy to use things that you feel like you can make them look good or they. You know, they're in your brain, they are good. And they aren't necessarily giving you peace, though. So peace is such a powerful word. And it's priority. It's priority in life. I'm learning the older that I get, the more true peace that I have, which really is from all of these things. The more. Just the more you understand what life is supposed to be like and feel like. So what is number four?
Well, now. Now that you're feeling free, now that you're feeling more at peace, now the labyrinth paths change. That was. That was all the doing. That was all the hard, heavy lifting of. Of just letting everything out of us. Shaking. Shaking all that stuff off. And now the fourth path is to rest. Because in the energy of pure rest, we receive. And for women especially, who are givers and nurturers and doing wow. To finally be in the energy of pure receptivity, of pure receiving, without feeling like, oh, well, they're doing this for me, and I have to do something for them. This is just allowing someone to give to you and then receiving that. I remember going to a massage therapist, and I was in a state of total rest. I mean, literally, I would just be in bed resting and writing and being like, oh, my God, I'm in bed. Like, this is like, what am I doing? And totally judging it. I was like, no, this is where I write best. Like, I know some of the greatest books have been written in people's beds, but I didn't know that. And I didn't know it was. That it was okay for me to do that. I thought it had to be in front of a computer, just banging away at the, at the, at the computer. No, it doesn't have to be that way. You make it the way you want it to be. And so I remember going. And I was totally at rest and at peace, and I went to get a massage, and I totally let go. Every. Every muscle in my body just let go. And I received that therapeutic touch that our bodies need to heal and our nervous systems need to regulate. And I remember the massage therapist, afterwards, when she was done, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and she said, I have never felt anyone let go and receive like this.
That was a gift to her.
Total gift to her. And see, we're. We're shifting our energy now. Every single path we're shifting, we're shifting. When we can receive, that gets a whole other energetic shift within us, getting closer to that center.
You said a couple things that, you know, for, for people who are. Maybe they're in their young motherhood season or they're in there, they're like, oh, great. This is great to hear. I just started a business, like, how can we practice these things among a busy season?
You take one path that you resonate the most with. So when you read get quiet, you'll read all the paths, but you're going to be resonating with at least one topic or one or one energy point. So I have topics and I have energy points. So if we feel like it's hard to breathe, if we feel like our chest area feels tight, well, we're going to want to go back to that chapter around environment. So, you know, these are the things so that you don't have to be thinking about all these different paths or all these different energy points. You just tune in and intuitively think, what do I need this week? That's it. Just take it week by week and tune in. What do I need this week?
Okay, I love this. So you have, okay, so you have these different energy points throughout the body. And so when we read the book, because I know you have so many awesome exercises around it. So do you suggest we read the whole book first and then learn about the energy points? And kind of daily are we checking in, like, where am I feeling certain things? Because I know for me, I Can always, you know, I can be like, oh, that's my head, or that's my chest, or that's my sacral. Like, I know now especially with tuning in, and I'm sure you teach us that. Is that kind of how the book works?
Yeah. So you'll want to read the book. And it's a short book. It's easy. It's an easy read, as they say. I love that.
Thank you for doing that.
It's simple. This has got to be simple. This cannot be. This cannot be difficult anymore. It just can't. And so read the book. At the end of the book, you're going to know. I list all the energy points, write them down, put them, you know, in your bathroom, put them in your purse, whatever, so that you can just tune into these different areas in the. In your body. And I mean, that's. That's really the getting quiet. That's so beautiful. Like, if I wake up in the middle of the night, I'll just tune into these energy points and one will stand out more than the others. I'll tune in, I'll kind of watch the waves of the energy, kind of go neutral, and literally I can fall right back asleep within minutes. Yes, especially. Especially during the stage of, you know, menopause, let's just say, where sleep isn't all that easy. I mean, you can literally just fall asleep in no time when you tune in to these energy points.
What is something else that you want to share about the book with the listeners before we go?
I want the listeners to know that you have a soul's mission. But right now it might be too loud, it might be too noisy to hear what that is. And your soul's mission wants to find you. It's calling out for you. That's why they call it your soul's calling. It's calling for you. Hey, I'm over here. Please. I'm trying to find you. I'm trying to reach you.
I'm under this pile of crap in your closet.
Can you please get quiet? Can you please tune in? This is why you're here on this planet. And I believe that when we all can find this calling, when we all say yes to it, when we all know our purpose, that we can unify around this one thing, and that's what I'm here to do. I want to unify humankind. And when we get quiet, we find that purpose and we. You can unify that around the people in your network and all have that same purpose of we're going to Unify around our soul's calling. And we're going to lift each other up. We're going to support each other, and your purpose is going to be different than mine. But we're all on this mission because we know it's going to better the planet. We're going to unify. And I believe that getting quiet brings us to human kindness.
I feel that so deeply because when I have not listened in the past, I'm in chaos. And when you are unclear and in chaos in your life and in your brain, you create chaos for other people. How you show up, you don't even necessarily realize it all the time. But I'm sure all of us looking back and be like, yeah, when I was, you know, in that place or doing that, I created chaos in my relationships or just in your own life. And so I love this message. This is like, so perfect. Going to be timely for the rest of time. And I'm so excited to read it. I'm a huge reader, so this is like the perfect topic for me right now because I just want. I don't want to miss the answers. I don't want to miss me anymore, Elaine. I don't want to miss me. So I'm so grateful for you. And this book comes out April 30th, right?
That's right.
And I think you have some bonuses.
I do, yes. Well, if you tell me about those. Well, it's. You can download then and have access to the first chapter so that you are ready to dive into the rest when you get the book. And then I love doing meditations and visualizations. And so I have created a six minute visualization that will inspire you. Put your headphones on and just float away into your lightness. So you will love it.
I love a visualization. So very excited. Like, really? It's like my love language. So I'm so grateful for you. Thank you so much for writing this book and just putting all of your life's work into one spot for all of us so we can go and grab it. You guys, I want to do something for the book. I want to do a book giveaway. So 10 books to the first people who upload onto Instagram. All they have to do is tag myself. Elaine, do you have a handle on Instagram?
Yes, I'm at Elaine Glass, dot author.
