Lori Harder explains why successful businesses need both a visionary who generates ideas and an integrator who executes them. A company can survive with just an integrator, but a visionary alone will fail. Harder says she personally cannot function without one.
Would it be fair to say that a business cannot survive long term? You will not hit your goals, you will not thrive if you don't have both a visionary and a strong integrator? They actually say that a business can survive with an integrator and not a visionary, but it can't survive the other way. I could see that.
Oh, for sure.
Because no ideas would ever get implemented. In the short term, you may catch lightning in a bottle. Yeah, right. But long term, somehow your competitors, the market, something is going to eventually catch up to you.
I will admit I cannot survive without an integrator. I cannot pull the vision all the way through consistently.
And I think energetically too. Like, you thrive when you know you have that counterpart that you can hand things off to that you trust. You can then go and execute.
