Lori Harder on finding mentors: spend a couple months in their world first, then ask one specific question in one or two sentences. If they answer, implement it and report back instead of asking again right away.

When you're looking for a mentor after adding value and being in their world at least, at least a couple months and being interested in them one question at a time. Like literally, if you're gonna DM someone and you truly have a question, be like, what is the one thing from this person that could really help me if they answered it? I love this about you. Thank you so much. You've added value. I listened to this podcast where you talked about this. My question is make that question one to two sentences max and if they answer, great. If not you can try again another time. But that's going to be your best bet for getting someone to answer is making it super brief, super pointed. And then once they answer, oh my gosh, thank you so much, don't ask another question. Like try to avoid asking another question. Go and implement that thing. Check back.
