Lori Harder explores why money shame keeps people broke. Most of us tie self-worth to our bank account and treat wealth as taboo. Before any strategy works, you need to identify your "wealth freedom number" and unpack the guilt around wanting more.
Money was never talked about. We weren't taught about money. No. Money was a shameful thing. Rich people are bad, or there's never enough. The scarcity is a huge one, and it's very emotional.
It's so interesting because money really is, for so many people, it's like identity, worth, shame, and you're unpacking all of that.
Yes, it's a lot. We will take the emotion out and we'll say, okay, here's a strategy so that you can be free. You can have work optional. You can hit your wealth freedom number. You don't have to apologize for wanting $100 million, to want $1 million. It doesn't matter what your number is. You have to unpack that first to get over that hump.
