A short excerpt from a Lori Harder YouTube video (May 7, 2025) where Lori and another speaker discuss how repetitive negative media messages can sap motivation and energy. They emphasize staying focused on what you can control, continuing to work hard, and how that focus helped Lori see positive business results despite broader economic worries.
When you have the media saying the environment is going to end the world, or the president blended. When stuff like that is said so much, maybe tomorrow you don't wake up and hustle like you do.
I was just thinking of this with the mastermind. People were coming up to me and they were concerned about the economy and all these things, and I was thinking, wow. I wasn't even fully aware of everything going on because I feel an immediate energy. You know, crazy, though, if you didn't know.
You just keep working hard.
I literally realized, like, I was having some really great things happening in my business because I was so focused there and what I could, could do and.
What you can control.
What I can control. And so I had this moment of, like, wow, what this person is consuming is truly taking away from any action or energy that they can move forward. Because if I was looking at the same thing, I'd be in the same boat. I wouldn't be doing four podcasts a week because I'd have no energy, and I'd be like, this isn't really worth it, and why am I doing this? Just changing that conversation. There's always. I feel like there's always something we can do.
