Lori Harder says when you're doing big things, you'll be misunderstood. Trying to fix how people see you often makes it worse. Sometimes you have to be the villain in someone else's story so they learn what they need to learn.
I had this realization that you actually have to play the villain for some people in order for them to get the lesson that they need. No matter how hard you try to play the hero, you're going to be the villain for somebody.
Right?
And it made me realize how important that is, though, because I look at the people I made a villain in my life, the lesson that they gave me is the most important one, because I think sometimes we can feel so misunderstood by people. I don't know if you've ever had that experience where you're like, it's like, the more I try to fix this, the more misunderstood I'm getting.
And sometimes the best lesson for them might be to feel that tension. There's so many times I've made videos before that triggered people, and people come back three months later and they're like, thank you. This video triggered me from three months ago. But now I see, like, I went through a whole process or something. So it's like we're robbing, literally people from knowing the real part of ourselves by holding that aspect of ourself back. And we're robbing other people from maybe the lessons or the. The content that might actually propel them to change by trying to tiptoe around them.
