How many times do you catch yourself comparing yourself to something else? Someone else is farther in their business, they make more money than you. I don't care what it is, but stop comparing yourself to other people because it's a zero-sum game. Are we better than? Are we less than? Are we better than? Are we less than? And both are not good for the psyche. It's like, yeah, robbing us of joy. At the end of the day, social media, like anything else in life, is a tool, and you get to choose how you use that tool. I I usually set a timer for like 15 or 30 minutes and that's my break for social media. So when the timer goes off, like I'm done scrolling. And at the end of your 15 or 30 minutes when your timer goes off, how do you feel? Is it giving you information? Are you being entertained? Or when your 15-minute timer goes up, you're like, "Man, I suck." What an exhausting way to live. Quit looking at how big someone else's slice of cake is and just enjoy your own damn cake.
